Thursday Thoughts, Laughs, and T2Q

Welcome to another week of Thursday Thoughts. What musings do you have rambling in your head? As for me,  I’m 8-weeks post-surgery. Yay for me! I’m doing great. I’m feeling marvelous. That is until…the medical bills showed up.

As a two-time guest in my local hospital, my eyes nearly jumped out of my head when I saw the total $67,000.  Holy Cow! It’s a good thing I have a strong heart or I would have been back in the hospital. My jaw is a bit sore from dropping to the floor, though. The upside to all of this is, my insurance is covering most of it. Yay for me! I’m doing great! I’m feeling marvelous!

I noticed something funny over the weekend. I was moving our old, as in dinosaur old, MacBook around when I noticed the battery door looked strange kinda like it had popped open. I turned it over to latch the door but discovered the battery was swollen. WOW, right? There is no fixing THAT! I mean, why didn’t I see the protrusion beneath it before now? I have no clue but am glad that I spotted it when I did before it did reprehensible damage to the computer. I count this as an act of God.

Have you ever wondered, when asked how did you sleep last night that the correct grammatical response is, “I slept well”.   Why can’t you say, “I slept good”?  English was NEVER my strongest subject in school. If you’re wondering the reason why then rest confidentially knowing that I found the answer for you, here. I understand at last! 😉

A couple of week’s ago, I went for my annual dental cleaning that wasn’t so annual. I don’t remember when the last time was that I had my teeth professionally cleaned. That tells you just how long. Anyway, my teeth are sparkling now, but the hygienist recommended that I get a night guard. I have severe enamel lost due to grinding my teeth. I set up an appointment to get the impressions made for a lab-made guard for later in the month, but then I learned you can buy night guards from retailers. After speaking with to the Hygienist, she said, “Try one out. If it works for you, then you saved yourself a lot of money and if not, no harm in trying. You can always get a professional night guard.”

I decided on the USA made  SleepRight dental guard. A big plus with me!  Last night, I popped mine for the first time. It was a bit weird at first. I thought I would not be able to sleep, but I slept well and during the night my jaw relaxed making the guard less noticeable.

Okay, are you ready for some LAUGHS? Last night, DH got this link  7 Most Unfortunate Restaurant Names from a friend.  Just what I need lots of laughter just before bedtime!
