A few of these bloggy buds, I have permanent links in my side menu, some will leave comments only, but most will join the party at some point this week.  Thanks for sharing some great music!

This month’s honorary co-host is Patrick from Adventures in Weseland

Just when I was about to give up last week on the linky code display problem, I figured it out after chatting with my host site and remembering things I did, lead me to my goof. All it took was toggling a switch off and wha-lah!

This is a music link up.  Hence, your post must contain music (at least one song) or your URL is marked “No Music”. The party co-hostess are now featured in my right side bar underneath the 4M banner. The guidelines are simple.  Every other week, a suggested (not mandatory) theme is given to build your song picks. YouTube and other music sites have options to create and embed playlists or individual songs into your post. On the off weeks, we dance to whatever music moves you – your choice. Finally, to access the dance party, just add your music post below, and visit others on the floor. Let the party begin!

As you know, I’m on a semi blogging break until September. I will use this time slot to share note worthy highlights from my life.  Let me say, thanks to everyone for sending warm wishes for our anniversary. I’m blessed not only with a good husband but so many good friends.   Last Saturday, we went to the foothills with the sole purpose so that I could get DH’s anniversary present.  It’s pictured below.   Seeing ‘real’ paintings on display really makes me want to try this for myself but until I can get to that point I’ll continue to dabble with Procreate creating painting-like art.  Until I see you on the dance floor next time, have a boogietastic week!

X💋X💋, Cathy

For our 44th wedding anniversary, I got DH a small Robert A. Tino acrylic painting. It’s the one in the center of the three paintings on this table that I photographed in his gallery. We had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Tino. He’s a very nice man and is an east Tennessean native.

One more thing, to all dads of two or four-legged kids….

Aww, what a thoughtful tribute to friends! Delighted to be included, my dear 😉 Awesome Father’s Day gift too.

    • Cathy Kennedy

Don’t worry about it Patrick! I was late to visit you this week, too. lol Doing something away from the computer is probably more fun anyway. 🙂 Thanks for dropping by and for being this month’s honorary co-host, my friend!

  • Marie

Hello, hello, hello my sweetest friend of all! How ya doin’ baby girl? Great as usual I hope. You always have tunes I never heard… well, not always, but their always great! So I’m back from Wisconsin Dells and the wedding was absolutely beautiful and I can’t wait to see the pictures. I went with my son & his girlfriend and my daughter and we had so much fun with my cousins who I haven’t’ seen in a long time. It was a great time & the food was great too! Anyway, time to move on so I can get to everybody… oh and I slept all the way home. I haven’t partied like that in a long time. hahahaha Love you lady. HUGS

      Marie,

I’m glad you made it home safe and I’m so happy you had such a good time. I don’t sleep too well in the car anymore but there was a time whenever I got in the car I would nod off until we got our destination. 🙂 Thanks for boogieing with me, darlin’!

That’s a great gift, CK, we like the paintings very much😺Great mewsic from all of us for all of you. Well done again. You always come up with the greatest ideas, fabulous! That doggie is a little big, but also great😸 Great Spark also, and here’s a big smile from us…see 😸Double Pawkisses for a Happy Week ahead for all of you🐾😽💞

    • Cathy Kennedy

      Granny,

I’m delighted you and the kittens enjoyed the mewsic! 🙂 Yeah, that doggie is a little big. lol When I was a little girl some people in our neighborhood had a Saint Bernard. It was the friendliest dog. He would grab your arm and drag you around. There wasn’t any use t resist because he was too big to manage. It was kind of comical. Pawkisses to you!!

  • Debbie D.

That’s one big lap dog! 😀 And I love the quote.

Fabulous playlist, Cathy! Some of these were new to me and of those, I especially enjoyed “Heavenly Bodies”. Miley Cyrus has a great voice and her fitness level is inspiring! Not that I could ever be that flexible at my age. 😆

That’s a lovely anniversary gift for DH! I bet you’d be able to turn out some beautiful paintings too, with your artistic talent.

    • Cathy Kennedy

      Debbie,

As we get older, we have to do the best we can to stay somewhat fit. I’m learning if you don’t use it, you lose it. My activity level isn’t nearly what it used to be. I need to get back into the groove but other things keep me too busy or I’m just making excuses or maybe it’s a little of both. 🙂 Thanks for visiting, my dear!

  • Sandee

That’s one huge lapdog. A big awww too.

I love how you did your playlist. That’s brilliant.

I hope hubby had a great Father’s Day.

Thank you for joining the Awww Mondays Blog Hop.

Have a fabulous Awww Monday and week. Love and hugs. ♥

    • Cathy Kennedy

      Sandee,

That lapdog takes up the lap and the whole person. lol Thanks for the FD wishes. DH had a nice one. I hope Zane did, as well. Thanks for visiting, my dear!

What a great idea, asking other music bloggers for song suggestions. Your did hit the jackpot with Glen Campbell/Boston Pops and Classical Gas (I had a 45 with the Mason Williams version which I probably wore out). #5 is one of those songs I have liked but never knew the name or the group. And, Nilsson ‘s music is always welcome – another great who died too young. Alana ramblinwitham

    • Cathy Kennedy

      Alana,

I save shortcuts to YT music others share to my desktop to either listen to more of an artists’ work or to use at a later time or both. No one had any idea I was doing this until now. I thought it would be fun to share how I came to collect these picks. Thanks for dancing with me, darlin’!

  • Birgit

I usually look at this on Monday but I am delighted and surprised by today’s post. Funny, when that song came on, “Without You” I was thinking how much I love this song and a personal feel I have to this and then my mouth dropped open to read my name beside this. Thank you soooo much for this. You made my day! I believe everyone will be touched by your gift of musical shoutout. I loved listening to all of these especially, not only my song( insert grin) but love the classical Gas version. Glen was naughty but I loved it and that he had on my favourite conductor, Arthur Fiedler, from the Boston Pops. Have a great week ahead and that painting is striking. I bet your hubby loves it.

    • Cathy Kennedy

      Birgit,

I love it when I find music on a bloggy friend’s site. My collection was growing and I couldn’t figure out how to work them in. That’s when I thought to pull this random playlist together giving credit to those inspiring my picks. I’m glad it made you smile. Glen Campbell was amazing and quite funny. The Boston Pops are probably my favorite orchestra and Arthur Fiedler was a great conductor. I have one of their Christmas albums on CD. Thanks for stopping by to enjoy the music, my friend!

Beautiful paintings, such a thoughtful gift. Happy Father’s Day to your wonderful hubby! XO

    • Cathy Kennedy

      Ellen,

Thank you. I am so happy I got him the painting. I also got him a Jim Gray painting (not an original way too expensive but a Giclee) framed. This is something I’ve wanted to do for a long time. Now, I want to buy more! 🙂 Thanks for the warm Father’s Day wishes. I’ll be sure to pass it on. 🙂
