Wild Wednesdays

Brother

Thank you for joining me for another edition of Pencil Sketch Inspired Procreate Recreation Art Series Part 2. For those not familiar with what I’m doing, I’m picking up from last year’s A to Z Challenge theme more or less displaying artwork I would’ve shared in April had I participated in the annual event.

In 2017, I sketched a little boy for the challenge using a photo of my brother when he was almost five years old using the picture below.

That’s my handsome Daddy with JC on his right and my baby sister on his lap. I’m standing. What fat cheeks I had but the other two are chubby cheeks, too.

I wasn’t good capturing his likeness then and I didn’t do much better with the reinvented illustration, but I had fun trying. 😉

JC died in 2006. Way too young and what many say before his time or at least in human eyes. God had other plans.  He had the situation in His hands.  JC is pain-free and at peace now.  That gives me comfort and one day, I’ll see him again. 🙂

Last time, I shared my male angel redesign just days before my daddy passed.  I felt inspired to recreate that artwork in memory of him.  I thought it only fitting to let you see how it turned out.

I got Daddy a t-shirt like this in July for Father’s Day and he loved it!

I have double posts on Friday schedule, last week’s BOTB results publishing at 12am and at 6am a new edition of Friday Funnies.  This is CAAC signing off, have a doodletastic day!   X💋X💋, Cathy

Hey Girlfriend, I haven’t heard this tune in ages, but let me tell you a short story. Back in 1969 I had my first child a little girl. She was precious to me & everywhere I went so did she. I had one of those baby carriers you where on your back & I wanted to go shopping, so we took a bus (didn’t have a car yet), and I was so proud of my baby girl she was adorable. Well, I got up for our stop was coming & this old woman says I ought to be ashamed of myself toting that child on my back. She’s going to mess up your posture. You kidis just don’t give a dam do you! I looked at her, considered the source and I said, “Lady, She’s not heavy… SHE’S MY DAUGHTER”!! And with that I left the bus! As I was walking out the door I did notice that her jaw dropped! LOL Some people have a lot of nerve! 🙂 I’m sure your daughter will feel the same about her son!!! HUGS

It’s -no, they – are a beautiful tribute. Your artwork comes from the heart, and that is the best kind. The Hollies’ song was perfect to set the mood too. Alana ramblinwitham

What a beautiful tribute to the two incredible men in your life. I know how it feels to have a brother looking out at us from the skies. But, yes atleast they are pain free.

Big hugs and big love sweety. Daddy looks out for you too.

You did a great job on your brother. You’re most talented.

    Love that video.

    Big healing hugs.

Have a great day and rest of the week, Cathy. ♥

I think you captured your brother’s image very well, Cathy! 👌 And the angel sketch is also beautiful. Losing loved ones is so tragic and I hope the birth of your grandson brings you a lot of joy! 💖

      Debbie,

Yes, the birth of our grandson has replaced some of the sadness. He’s such a precious blessing! 🙂 Thank you for your appreciation of my artwork. That means so much to me and I think you’re so kind. Have a good evening, dear friend!
