Songsational Sundays

You are my hiding place

This inspirational, heart-lifting piano playlist soothes the spirit, doesn’t it? The first song instantly reminds me of David’s words in Psalms 32,  ‘Thy art my hiding place’. David focuses on the significance of prayer, the acceptance of pain, the power of praise and the importance of prophesy. I know about hard times, not like the Hebrews but can relate to difficulties as can you.  I find it reassuringly peaceful knowing I’m in God’s arms. He has the situation in control even when I do not see it.  I remind myself while it’s tough in that moment there are others far worse off than me.  It’s humbling.  I might not like it but I accept it for what it is and with God on my side I know it’s only a matter of time before things improve. I give thanks to God daily for all I’ve been given. I count my…our blessings for they are many.  His goodness fills me!

Sometimes it’s hard to feel like you’re not alone even when you know in your heart that you are never alone, if you’re moved to share then tell about trials and blessings from your life.  Bless another and be blessed!

Tomorrow on the dance floor, January’s honorary co-hostess suggested we share songs about tentative relationships – personal or spiritual. I hope you’ll stop in listen to what’s spinning on my turntable. Meanwhile feel free to hit the party early. Have a blessed Sunday! X💋X💋, Cathy

So nice to hear our church’s keyboardist here. He plays so beautifully on this album release. Saw him this morning at church and he said he was having problems seeing. Hope he was able to drive home okay. Pray for him.

      Lee,

How cool is that you know this pianist! I’m sorry to read he’s having vision problems. I hope it’s nothing serious and that it cleared up before he had to drive home. I certainly will pray for him. May God bless!

Sometimes, when so much has happened and we don’t know how to go through, we realize what we need to do to gain our strength. Strength in belief is often what helps us through. Funny, you may not believe it but my best friend has gone through so much in the past 3 years plus that it has been very tough on her. She finds strength in going to church but she has found her life a struggle with her ex jerk husband to work and her health. One night, this past week, she was feeling very low and she decided to go to bed early. She turned off the tv and grabbed her book when she heard the tv go back on. She was not near the remote at all and she knows she turned off the tv. Anyway, she looked up to see a blue screen and in white letters appeared, “Life Is Good.” As quicker as that appeared the tv turned off and then she found a dime at her feet. Her father and mother gave her a sign, I believe. To let her know that life is good and they are near.

      Birgit,

God gives us just what we need at the right moment. I’m sorry for your friend’s difficulties with her ex-husband and health issues. Saying prayers that both things improve.

We are listening while we are reading, CK. We love piano music and we love your quote😸See you tomorrow, we only have to find out what tentative means, it’s a word that they don’t translate the way it probably must be. Hope to find it out when we see your post😸Pawkisses for an Easy Sunday🐾😽💞

It is comforting to know that God is there watching out for us and has a master plan for our lives. Have to remind myself of this when things get shaky. Nice post.
