Wishing you a warm and blessed Thanksgiving

Dear friends,

I wanted to take a moment to send to you and yours warm, blessed Thanksgiving wishes.  My hope is your home is kindled with the love that fills it and the gratitude you carry make your heart blissfully content. I appreciate the bounty of friendships I’ve gathered in Blogosphere. I count you among my blessings. May the Lord sprinkle His goodness upon you this day and always.

Now for some peaceful entertainment, I found two wonderful YouTube playlists.  The first one is a beautiful collection of hymns and the second one is a lovely classical music collection.  I enjoyed listening to these playlists as background music while doing various tasks online and off.  Unwind, with a piece of pie and cup of coffee while you listen to some excellent music!

I thought I’d include this week’s Tuesday4 questions here since I didn’t get to answer them earlier in the week.  This week’s subject is Thanksgiving.

1. What are you most thankful for this year? Good health, everything else is icing on the cake.

2. Company or just immediate family? Just the two 👩‍❤️‍👨 of us. We’re keeping our distance from others in an unmasked environment.  It pains us to be away from our family but this will pass.

3. Cooking or catering? Home or eating out? Cooking at home always! 👩‍🍳

4. What’s for dessert?  Coffee ☕️ served with a choice of pumpkin pie with whipped topping or pecan pie made with Georgia pecans and if you can’t decide then we can have a small slice of both. 🍴

I’m not sure what my plans are regarding the Internet but if you’re poking around Blogosphere tomorrow, then you’ll find a new edition of Friday Funnies for some grins and giggles.  If you’d like to get the laughing started a little early, you can practice those smiles with this collection of vintage Thanksgiving cartoons found in The Saturday Evening Post or with a Holderness Family parody or two. Have a wonderful holiday weekend, my friend! X💋X💋, Cathy

Love the Q&A. The first three I would answer the same. No dessert for us though.

    Hi, Cathy!

Happy Thankful Thursday and Thanksgiving 2021, dear friend!

I enjoyed listening to the block of Hymns on Piano. They have a relaxing and calming effect, exactly what we all need today and every day. I also enjoyed sampling the two hour set entitled Classical Mewsic for Holiday Meals. I can imagine the stress reducing benefits of playing those melodies as background mewsic when the family gathers around the table for the annual feast.

I enjoyed your answers to the Tuesday4.

I totally agree that if you have your health, everything else in life is a bonus. In your second answer, you recited the title of the Grammy Award winning song “Just The Two Of Us” by Grover Washington. Maybe you can sing it to DH today:

I’m sure you will please DH’s tummy with your cooking today. Your dessert answer matches mine, dearie. At the end of a meal on a chilly fall day, nothing beats a generous slab of pumpkin or pecan pie (or both) and a strong rich cup of coffee.

I enjoyed this mewsical interlude and making a holiday connection with you, Cathy. I wish you and your family a blessed Thanksgiving. I’ll be back tamale for a dose of Friday Funnies/Sillies. See you then!
