Wild Wednesdays

Weather ramblings

We had crazy spring-like weather last week. The photo below was taken the last Monday. It was a beautiful sunrise with promise of warm conditions but rain was expected to hang around for most of the week and it did.

Knoxville and surrounding communities got some localize flooding. I’m not sure the extend of the damages but since the news crew wasn’t out covering it then I feel it’s not as bad as last year. I wasn’t in that mess, so I don’t have any photos to share.

On Friday, we had to take the car to the body shop to have estimates done from the accident in November.  Anyhow, it was a miserably cold day.  Our temperatures took a 20+ degree nose dive from the day before and with the last of the wet precipitation lingering turned into a mixture of snow and ice at times. Yep, we got some snow! Nothing significant but it was fun surprise.

A few seconds after I shot this picture the snow switched over to ice but I couldn’t get a good photo of the accumulated ice chips clinging along the edge of my door.  All I can say is I’m so glad I didn’t have to wait outside while the estimation was being done because the wind made things 10x worse.

We only got a dusting of snow. It was pretty while it lasted but I wasn’t sad to see it go. 🙂

I’m gonna wrap things up with a song I stumbled on by Milli Vanilli “Blame It On the Rain”.  Should inspiration strikes, then you might find me back tomorrow with an art contribution for Thursday Art Date with Rain

Thanks for joining me today and may you have a blessed day!

We still have cold temperatures BUT there are little buds beginning to appear and the sun was out earlier today with temperatures around 54…yay!

The weather has been nuts, are you in TN with that 20˚ dive? Yikes. Hope your car gets fixed quickly and inexpensively (if that’s even possible). Ice is the worst, just the worst.

Wonder if this was when they were lip syncing or were they really singing! Do you remember that big ta do with them? It sure was a mess. Cute song though. Dang girl, you’re suppose to have warm weather what happened??? Weird! Oh well, time to get the house picked up. Have a fantastic day! Sending big warm hugs!

We rarely get snow here, but lots of storms the last few days with widespread flooding and trees down. We did get some sun today, but Storm Denis is forecast at the weekend, hopefully not as bad as Ciara.

Nice shots, Cathy! 🙂 We’ve had that strange, mild/cold weather pattern as well. Ice is the worst! 😮 Fun to see that old Milli Vanilli song again. 😀 Do you remember the scandal attached to them? The whole thing was faked. Thanks for hosting this link party. I added the Santorini post, which you’ve already been kind enough to visit and comment on. Happy Wednesday!

We’ve been having spring here. The blossoms are showing up on the fruit trees. I’m guessing by Friday it will be most beautiful. I’m so ready.

Blame in on the rain. Love that video. One of my favorites back in the day. Thank you.

Thank you for joining the Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop.

Have a fabulous Wordless Wednesday. Love and hugs. ♥

Seems like Mother Nature has gone crazy!

In answer to your question — yes, Malays who convert from Islam to another religion are deemed as apostates and will be persecuted by the Syariah courts. Thank God, I am Chinese and Catholic!

    Have a nice day, Cathy!

      Veronica,

Mother Nature has lost her mind! 🙂 So, in Malaysia, if that’s your nationality then it’s Islam or risk persecution but if you’re nationality is something else like in your case then being Islamic doesn’t apply? That’s what it sounds like and to be honest. An organize religion that demands you to be this way or no way sounds very much like a dictatorship. The One true God won’t force us to follow Him in this life. He wants us to coming of our own will. Now, that’s love!

      • Veronica Lee

Yep, all other races with the exception of Malays have the freedom to practice the religion of their choice.

Over here, most Indians are generally Hindus or Christians and Chinese are generally Taoists, Buddhists or Christians. And Malays are Muslims by law.

As of 2010 census, Malays made up 50.1% of the population of Malaysia (including Malaysian-born or foreign-born people of Malay descent).
