Battle of the Bands

Thank You For Being A Friend BOTB Reveal

A Procreate redesign of last week’s Covered Bridge artwork

In last week’s Wild Wednesday post I remembered another piece of art.   Originally, I did drew it with summer foliage but I decided to change it by giving it a more seasonal feel. While most trees have dropped their leaves, I still wanted to reflect autumn in my new scene.  Who knows maybe, I’ll use the design again to capture the essence of winter soon.

Okay, it’s time to report how things went in my BOTB last time.  I totally forgot that I put together a four-way battle.  That was a bit too much and I apologize.  I’ll try to not do that again anytime soon.

The contest came down to three of the ladies.  Alyssa got two votes thanks to Lee, Mimi, and Stephen.  Brynn got three votes thanks to John, Diedre, and Debbie.  Angela didn’t get a single vote.  Poor gal!  The winner is Lake Street Dive with four votes thanks to Birgit, Sandee, Brian, and Eugi.  It was a tight battle!

To learn how others’ did with their most recent BOTB, you’ll find a list of participants in my side bar beneath the banner.

My next battle is set for December 1st.  I hope you can join the fun at that time.  Meanwhile, the rest of the week, I shall be away from Blogosphere but I’ll be back with Mondays Music Moves Me. I hope you enjoy the Thanksgiving festivities tomorrow with all the special people in your life and, again, let me say to each of you, Thank you for a friend!  This is CAAC signing off, have a bandtastic day!  X💋X💋, Cathy

I remember I listened to Lake Street Dive’s version and thought “who is playing the guitar?” I could see the bass player, and it wasn’t her, and it didn’t look like the keyboard player was playing the guitar parts. Drove me crazy…

It’s nice to see Autumn (my favorite season) in a picture that will remain caught in that moment of time.

Unfortunately, where I live now (Northern Nevada), Spring & Autumn last about 3 weeks each. It seems like it’s almost perpetually Summer or Winter (i.e., too hot or too cold).

Someday I’m going to be rich beyond my wildest dreams. And then I’m going to return to Santa Monica, California (wonderful weather), buy the city, and kick everyone out of it except for my family and friends. The minions there now can all go back where they came from! ;^)

Northern Nevada would not be a place for me. I don’t like the extremes at all! I love having four seasons as long as they are generally mild. It get cold here and occasionally we get snow but it’s tolerable all things considering. Our temperatures sort of stay on a rollercoster, so we’re never stuck too long in a pattern. It’s really chilly today and we’re forecast trend is the same for the next couple of weeks but it’s late autumn so this is normal.

Hey when you become rich beyond your wildest dreams, please remember your pal in Tennessee. lol That would be pretty awesome to not have to worry about money and to do whatever you want and to help family and friends. It’s a good dream to have. 🙂

Yay on the winner. They did the very best in my humble opinion.

I love your artwork. You’re so talented.

Have a fabulous day and a most blessed Thanksgiving. Big hug. ♥
