Friday Sillies

Nothing but giggles and friendly fill-ins

I’m busy every day contributing in Blogosphere right here or on two freebie sites, here and here,  I started in order to help those who are struggling with blogging platform changes.  Although this week, I’ve stayed true to my normal routine on  CAAC I finally mentally excused myself from the feeling ‘that I have to be here every day’.   It’s only then that I don’t feel so pressed and might explain while I may not have lost all my marbles yet, but…there is a small hole in the bag somewhere.    Let’s get the weekend started with a few giggles.

I tolerate this pup only because he does a nice job on my lovely mane, otherwise he’d be doggie-toast!

Ellen at 15andMeowing and Lorraine at Four-Legged Furballs share each Thursday four blank statements for us to copy and paste to create an entry for their Friday Friendly Fill-ins. Rounding things out this is how I filled in the blanks.

1. February is the perfect month to for loveWhat do I know? That’s the first thing that came to mind.

2. I have a subscription to Yankee Magazine and Saturday Evening Post digital editions but I rarely go read them.

3. Comedy movies from the 80s and early 90s is my kind of humor.  That’s when stuff was written well with no worries of offending someone or political in-your-face stuff intended to steal your joy.  It was all in fun and no one thought anything of it.

4. I shouldn’t eat junk food but I do anyway.  Life is short, more desserts please!

What are your plans this weekend?  Make it fun whatever you do!  I’ll be back with Monday’s Music Moves Me.  You’re invited to hit the dance floor with me!  Have a funtastic weekend, dear friends! X💋X💋, Cathy

Love the funnies and your answers. Anything to do with politics, I won’t watch. Enough is enough! Have a great day and a fantastic weekend.

Thank you for participating in the friendly fill-ins, great answers. I agree about comedy back then. Everyone picks every little thing apart lately.
Yes on more desserts. 🙂 Have a nice weekend. XO

Love the Feline Friday entry. I laughed out loud and I did with the video too. I’m sure that wife is exhausted. What fun though.

Love your fill-ins and I agree about #3. We’ve watched shows that were good until they went political and we leave. Not going to watch that crud.

Thank you for joining the Feline Friday Blog Hop.

Have a purrfect Feline Friday and weekend. Love and hugs. ♥

      Sandee,

We do the same with any shows that try to force their agenda on us. We’ll click away until it’s gone before resuming with the program or if it’s too invasive then we’ll stop watching it altogether. If it’s no longer entertaining, then what’s the point, right?

It is so nice to come a you blog and get some good laughs in. You keep busy with all that you do and I admire that. I seem to be slowing down, even though I do have a ton of things to get done. Old age I guess. hee hee hee. This weekend I am getting my flower pots off the deck, I am getting a new roof on Monday. Hope they can get it done quickly. As for T for Tuesday and the T gang over at Elizabeth’s. Just show any art you like and the trick is show a drink. Or do a post on a drink. Or do an art piece that is a drink. LOL Come join us on Tuesday. Have a great day.

      Nicole,

I’m delighted you enjoy stopping by my place for some laughs. I didn’t know I was that funny to look at. 🤔 Oh, I know you’re getting your giggles and smiles over the sillies I share, right? I am right, aren’t I? Of course, I am. 😁

Thanks for the briefing on T for Tuesday. I will certainly keep this in the back of my head to try to join in with the fun at some future date. I’m juggling a bit more than I should these days but soon I’ll find my niche with what I’m doing.

    Hi, Cathy!

Happy Feline Friday to you, dear friend! I hope you had a good week. I am here to sample some songs and some Sillies.

I checked out your two spin-off CAAC sites. It’s admirable that you are offering instructions on adapting to changes in blogging platforms. Honestly I don’t know how you find time to publish as much content as you do on your blogs while maintaining an active presence on multiple other social media platforms. You are a cool kitty… but busy as a bee or a beaver. 🙂 Speaking of kitties, that picture of the kittens lined up at the mischief refueling station would work well on Awww-some Mondays. The stray black cat we care for is, at this very moment, in bed with Mrs. Shady. He sleeps with us every night. Ha! That’s a good meme reminding us that fat cells seem to live forever. The GIF of the puppy gnawing on the cat’s ear is amazing because I don’t know of many cats that would tolerate it. That married couple cranks out one slickly produced song parody after another. They seem to have picked up where Weird Al left off.

Thanks for the nostalgic pic of the autumn leaves in October there in Tennessee the day you visited Little Angelina.

Thank you for the smiles, giggles and song parody, dear friend Cathy. I wish you and your family a safe and happy weekend!

      Tom,

Thanks for checking out my other blogs. You won’t find any more than one weekly post at those places for now. It’s all I can do to keep up but I felt it necessary to walk through the various steps of setting up either a WordPress or Blogspot site for anyone afraid to jump in alone. Not everyone has the time or the inclination to learn something new. It’s very frustrating at times. I’m glad you enjoyed the giggles. The Holderness family does amazing work and yes, they now fill the void of Weird Al fun songs of yesteryear. The mom and dad have a great camera presence. I wonder what their kids really think of mom and dad. 🙂 I believe if that was DH and me doing this sort of thing, our kids would die of embarrassment. lol
