Tickle Me Tuesdays

Message needed/Born crazy/Calorie refund/Schooling who

I really would like a good message but it’s not gonna fix the pains that ache in my body. I’m working tirelessly to find the right doctor to go to for my problems. Meanwhile, I’m trying to not aggravate the condition at which I find I’m failing miserably. Oh well…laughter is a good medicine. Maybe I can laugh it off! No? Don’t spoil my fun, just go with it, ‘k!

Who’s gonna be brave enough to confess?
I agree!

Who’s schooling who?

I’m gonna try something new. On DH off-Friday weeks, I will be totally MIA in Blogosphere with no plans for scheduled content. Tickle Me Tuesdays will serve you to give you some giggles for the week. I may change my mind but then I can do that after all because I’m a gal! 😉

That’s it for today, I’m gonna leave you with a new-to-me song parody by Weird Al featuring Kate Winslet, “I Need A Nap” because who doesn’t need a nap, right? Maybe, that’s my cue for one more cup of coffee this morning as I head over to visit with a few my friends and you’re invited to follow me over to see Stacy for  Random Tuesday Thoughts, Eugenia for Tuesday Chatter , and Sandee for Happy Tuesday.  I hope  you’ll come back tomorrow for Wild Wednesdays where just about anything goes!

Oh you poor thing! My aunt suffers with a bad back – she’s had multiple surgeries and still has trouble to this day. I hope your doctors get to the root of the problem and are able to fix that problem. ((Gentle Hugs!!))

Your funnies are hilarious, and I’d never heard that Weird Al song before – love it!! 🙂

      Stacy,

I’ve read surgery is often another source of pain. The good thing is I’m making slow improvement. I know it won’t go completely away but if I can get back to where I was then perhaps I’d just forget this whole mess and happily go on my way. I know it needs to be checked out but you know how doctors are when they can’t pin point the problem. It gets thrown under an umbrella where it could be one of several things where they treat the symptoms not the problem. Thanks for your gentle hugs. I’ll get through this mess!

      Natasha,

While things aren’t 100%, I am doing some better. I’m listening to my body and trying to not push it beyond its comfort zone. The issue is still there but the worse of the pain is gone at the moment. The thing is I don’t know what brought that on so suddenly, so I will know what to not do to keep it from getting to that point again. I am going to a specialist hopefully in March if the appointment slots work otu.

My sister has a really back back. She was a gardener for years. To much heavy lifting. I hope you find some relief soon.

    Loved all the funnies.

Cute videos. Made me chuckle more than once.

Thank you for joining the Happy Tuesday Blog Hop.

Have a fabulous Happy Tuesday. Love and hugs. ♥

      Sandee,

Around the age of 16 I noticed what I call a pinched nerve sensation in my upper back just below my neck and left of my spine. The pin & needles itched in that spot and hurt. Over the years it would quieten down but flared up with certain activity. My childbearing years aggravated my entire back area brought on by body changes, poor posture, and childbirth. I often wondered when I had the epidural with our first if that is a strong contributing factor. It took the anesthesiologist three attempts before the epidural took effect and I recall afterwards how much my lower back hurt. My second delivery resulted in a C-section which required a more intense epidural that numbed me from just below my breast down. My back was in real agony and I even saw a chiro. Unfortunately, our insurance didn’t cover chiropractors so after several sessions surmounting to a large medical bill and little to no results I stopped going. In recent years, my primary doctor told me after looking at my chest x-rays that I have signs of a past fracture in my spin (about mid way). He asked me if I had been in an accident, which I told him no and the only thing comes to mind is the epidural experience. For a long time I’ve been thinking the culprit is fibro but in the past couple of weeks I’m wondering if I might have a herniated disc. I guess, I’ll learn more once I see the neurologist. Thanks for your concerns, my dear!

      Liz,

There are chiropractors in our area but I’m not sure that’s what I need. After our middle child was born I went to a chiropractor but it didn’t help. The problem has gotten worse over the years. It feels like a nerve-related condition. Hopefully, I’ll learn soon enough the nature of my pain.

You might want first to find a massage therapist. Many of them work with chiropractors, and can refer you to the chiropractor if the massage doesn’t help. If neither of them help, you might want to see an acupuncturist.

What is with all the squirrels getting blog time today? Pesty creatures! We like the calorie refund idea because sometimes Mom does buy something decadent and it tastes terrible!

    • Cathy Kennedy

Squirrels are pesky creatures indeed, especially when they get into your attic or in the crawl space under your home or when they cross the road in front of you and panic causing me to have a near heart attack, other wise I like these funny little furballs of energy.

      Paul,

Too bad we can’t get a calorie refund, huh? I’d like to cash in on such an opportunity after eating expensive by the slice desserts that are unimpressive. Wasted calories, on many levels, and money!
