Is it Friday yet random #humor

Purrs and hisses, Kittens & Dawgs!  Another week bites the dust. This is DH’s off Friday. I’m MIA in Blogosphere but I’m finishing the work week with these giggles in this edition of Friday Sillies!!

This picture says everything about this week. I’m so glad it’s Friday because I’m beaten up!

John from The Sound of One Hand Typing reintroduced me to the 80s sensation The Manhattan Transfer.  Do you remember them?  I found a compilation of their tunes on YT which was great fun to listen to while I composed this post and I hope you enjoy it, too.

That’s a wrap for now.  Please join Mary in her Rocktober Music Fest and don’t forget to hit the dance floor with ‘your choice mewsic picks on Mondays Mewsic Moves Me!

  1. I love the funnies, Cathy, especially the kitty with the mismatched socks – soooo cute! Wow, the Manhattan, a blast from the past and a great choice! Fall has fell in my neck of the woods – what about yours?

  2. Thanks for the laugh. I love the kitty with odd socks. I never realised that my gravatar didn’t link to my blog until you told me. I have added it on my profile but I think that the picture still doesn’t take you directly to my blog, but to the Gravatar profile first.

    1. I think it’s an easy thing to overlook linking one’s blog to a site that makes signing into the various commenting systems used by bloggers. I figured if it were me then I’d hope someone will point what I missed doing. 🙂 I usually miss a lot, too. lol Now, it’ll be able to find you easier. 😉

  3. Loved the funnies today! The Paper Rock Scissors was pretty funny. Thanks for playing along again today. Enjoy your Friday!

  4. My husband would agree with the first bit….I am often ready before him but then he will ask to check this and that. When I do that, he asks why I am not ready yet..Grrrrr. Love the pug with the tongue and the cat is priceless. I updated my tablet and now, when I write a post, it doesn’t take! I have to use my little phone…very irritating

  5. Thanks for the shoutout, and you picked a hell of a song. I actually like the vocal version by them better than the instrumental version by Weather Report. MT will be making an appearance in my November 15 BotB, so stay tuned for that.

  6. What a fun post and I linked you to Feline Friday. That kitty has great socks.

Yes I remember that band. Cool.

Have a fabulous day and weekend, Cathy. Love you. ♥

  7. Hi, Cathy

I am here dark and early to enjoy your Friday Sillies, dear friend. “Going Out” tells the truth about one of the key differences between men and women. The only thing that’s different in my household is that I am the one who starts getting ready early. I am finished and ready to walk out the door before Mrs. Shady even begins. She pokes around and fusses at the mirror and makes us late most of the time. I enjoyed seeing the cute dog and cat in today’s post along with your sketch of the ticklish kitty.

It has been many years since I heard anyone do “Birdland.” I enjoyed this rendition by Manhattan Transfer.

If you happen to visit Shady’s Place today and comment, it might be late tonight or tomorrow before I can leave a reply. Mrs. Shady’s sister suffered a stroke and is in the hospital in a bad way. This morning we need to drive across the state to visit her and won’t be back until evening. Prayers needed. Thank you for understanding.

I wish you a safe and happy weekend, dear friend Cathy.

    1. Tom,

Thank you for taking time to visit considering the pressing and worrisome matters you two are facing this Friday. We will pray for SIL. God is bigger and greater than anything. We don’t know His plans for our lives except for His deep love for us.

I will visit SPMM but it probably won’t be until much later or even tomorrow. DH is off today for the first time in almost a month and we are going to the mountains. The weather promises good things. It’s currently a chilly 48 degrees.

Be safe and well. Please give my love and hugs to Mrs. Shady, let her know we’re asking for God’s intervention to help her sister through this unexpected twist. Blessings to yo both dear friend!
