Christmas Music Marathon

Goodbye/The Christmas Song

It’s the last day of the month which means this is my final #ChristmasMewsicMarathon post for 2019.  The joy I found putting together this series was unmeasurable and I hope it meant as much to you, as it did me.  Here’s Steve Lukather with his arrangement of ‘Goodbye/The Christmas Song’ which is the purrfect end!

Thanks to each of you for making the Christmas season a little more special and I appreciate your friendships more than you’ll ever know.  Here’s to another wonderful new year in Blogosphere and may God bestow good things to you and your family!

Last week I didn’t participate in Friendly Fill-ins hosted by 15andMeowing (Ellen) &  Four-Legged Furballs (Lorraine) but I liked her blank statements and wanted to include them here.

1. On New Year’s Eve, I can be found at home with DH.  Let’s face it, there are a lot of crazies out on the road anytime but let these same individuals hear party time then we all know what that means. I’m staying indoors where it’s safe and cozy!

2. My focus word for 2020 is determination. I’m determined to get much accomplished in the new year.  I say this every year to myself and while I am determined about somethings other areas get sidetracked.  Maybe, I’ll get it completely right in 2020.

3. Getting back on track is the best thing about starting a new year.  The whole holiday season throws me off, not that that’s a bad thing but nearly every aspect takes a set back, so by the time January 1st rolls around then I’m ready to take on my usual daily grind again.

4. My personal goals for 2020 include well, of course they are all the same old resolutions that I didn’t fulfill last year and the year before last and the year before that year and so-on, so is it really necessary to rehash my goals again? Nah, I don’t think so. I’ll just keep at it. I’m bound to get it right someday.

In keeping with tradition, we’ll be up late tonight doing our movie marathon and snacking a lot while we wait to watch the ball drop in Time Square but CAAC never sleeps. I will launch the first post of 2020 with the first Battle of the Bands for the new year and I hope you’ll find time to swing by to cast  your vote no matter how late you get up. 😉  I’ll see ya tomorrow, dear friends. Be safe!

We stayed at home and had mimosas! Too many crazies out on New Year’s Eve! Yep, I like your word determination too, Cathy. And whatever I don’t accomplish, I at least tried my best.

      Eugenia,

We watched two new movies: Kingsman: The Secret Service and The Mummy with Tom Cruise. I recorded both flicks on Sling a few days prior to new year’s eve for our quiet celebration. I also recorded the second Kingsman flick and we hope to watch it this weekend. Anyhow, both of our movie features were great and if you haven’t seen them then I highly recommend them. 🙂 Goals shouldn’t be stressed. If we’re fortunate to see a new year then we can keep at it until we get them crossed off our list but as you said, trying one’s best is all you can do and that should make one feel good. 🙂

Determination sounds like a good word for the year. I’ve never gotten on the word bandwagon (or the resolutions bandwagon), so I’ll wish you luck from the bleachers.

    Hi, Cathy!

I’m happy to know you will be staying home with DH tonight instead of venturing out on the hazardous roadways. I admire your determination to get more accomplished in the coming year. I don’t know the specifics of your New Year resolutions, but from where I sit you are getting an awful lot right doing exactly what you’ve been doing. You have a blogging style that makes me feel comfortable and right at home every time I visit. You are a real (as in genuine) down to earth person and I like that. The content of your posts consistently interests me. You have a flair for entertaining and I always leave here with a smile not to mention having learned something new.

May you and your family receiving a bounty of blessings in 2020, dear friend Cathy. Happy New Year!

      Tom,

Thank you, my friend! I’m delighted you feel comfortable with your visits at my blog home. If you leave my little niche gaining an ounce of something new then I’m tickled pink (good thing that’s my favorite color) because you’re quite awesome in your own right. I also the mewsical content you share. You allow me an opportunity to sample never before heard tunes and occasionally as you know you’ve inspired me to do a spin off from something you’ve put up. I have to admit, in the past few years I’ve finally settled into who I want to be with my blog presence. Not say, there isn’t room for improvement because I know I can do that and will as I see the direction I need to go but I can honestly say I have a good sense of things finally. Thank you for being a big supporter of CAAC and happy New Year to you again, my friend!

Thank you for participating in the fill-ins, great answers. Safe at home is the best place to be on New Year’s Eve. I like your focus word for 2020. Have a happy and healthy 2020 my friend! XO
