Count Your Blessing Instead of Sheep BOTB Reveal
Seriously, I was nervous with last week’s face off between Johnny Mathis and Jimmy Durante. These artists are about as opposite as night and day with the vocal styles. I feared Mathis would mop the floor with Durante but the majority heard what I heard, Durante’s sincerity and relatability with the lyrics touching a tender place in my (your) heart, so to my happy surprise Jimmy Durante not only rose to the challenge but won this battle (8 to 7).

I guess sometimes “character” triumphs over “beauty”. I enjoyed listening to both versions, so I feel the real winner was… me. Ha!

ON most songs I think Johnny would have come out on top, but Jimmy does so well with songs like this one. “September Song” is another great performance from him. It was a good match with an excellent outcome.
