Let’s continue the fun with Friendly Fill-Ins!

Let’s continue the fun with Friendly Fill-Ins with Annie and Ellen. Every Thursday they post four fun and easy blank statements for us to borrow, complete, and share on our site.  The point is to simply have fun linking, reading, and meeting others who enjoy this sort of thing.

Here’s my response to this week’s fill-ins:

  1. Something healthy I do daily is, to take vitamin supplements.
  2. Something unhealthy I do daily is, to eat things that aren’t the best for me.
  3. This Summer is one of the hottest and humid summers we’ve had in a while and I won’t be sad to see it go.
  4. This Autumn other than looking forward to the cooler temperatures I can’t wait to photograph the fall splendor and maybe enjoy some not-so-good for me autumn flavors like home-made caramels, fresh-baked oatmeal raisin cookies, and hot chocolate.

You’re welcome to tag along, as I hop over to link up with the Friendly Fill-Ins crowd.

I’m joining Lexa in Celebrate The Small Things. Here’s my list of celebrations!

I’m celebrating DD#2 and her husband reached their vacation destination, Bar Harbor, Maine safety. Every day, she sends us a text or picture of familiar places we took her and her siblings in 2004. It’s almost like we’re there with them! They are having the best time and I’m so very happy for them. 🙂

What are you celebrating?

See what others are celebrating this week below and if you want to join the linky, then visit Lexa!

To continue the Friday fun, you may want to consider joining Friendship Friday, Friday Features, and Skywatch Friday linky parties where you’re sure to make new friends and get lots of inspiration! If you’re visiting from SWF, then you’ll find my photo contribution, here.

Our kitty would never go near water like that! LOL
I am feeling under the weather today and the oatmeal cookies and hot cocoa sound divine! I’ll go back to workouts tomorrow I promise!!
Maine is beautiful – what a lovely vacation.

Les, sorry to hear you’re under the weather. I hope you feel better soon. Our cat never liked the water. It always amazed me that other cats like to it, though. I made some oatmeal cookies over the weekend and I got to thinking maybe this week we can have hot chocolate. It won’t be actually cold enough for it but with the first day of fall just around the corner then it just seemed right to me to have a hot cup of chocolatey goodness. Take care, sweet friend!

Vitamin supplements are a great way to give your body an extra boost, especially when we don’t always eat as healthy as we should. I agree with you about this summer and the coming fall. I really welcome it this year, bring on jacket weather! 🙂

  • Birgit

That first cartoon is so funny…reminds me of Rodney Dangerfield when he said that when he was born, the dr slapped his mother because he was so ugly. The cat is hilarious and it’s amazing how they like to play with water just not be in it. I’m with you about the summer and it’s still hot and sticky. I also take multivitamins and I do eat some bad things…..chocolate …luscious decadent chocolate.

    • Cathy Kennedy

Birgit, LOL, I remember Rodney Dangerfield saying that. 😀 He sure came up with some excellent funny stuff, didn’t he? I don’t remember our cat ever liking water. It was a chore to have to bath her, too. I think we’re all guilty of eating things we really shouldn’t and chocolate is the worse offender for most including me. I love, love chocolate cake, ice cream, donuts, and candy bars!

I loved the funnies, especially the housecat gif!! I can’t say I’m a good girl and do #1, but I’m with you on 2,3 , and 4. How awesome that your daughter and SIL are having a good time in Bar Harbor and are being generous enough to share lots of pics with you! You raised her well. 😉

Great post, as always, my friend. (I enjoy your Facebook posts, too.) We have a similar sense of humour and strong conscience.

Thanks for the chuckles here. And, I am happy to see you liked the dish washing cat! I love it!

I could not agree more with your fill-ins. Great answers, my friend. Thanks for being a part of Friendly Fill-Ins. I really enjoy and appreciate your thoughts, as always. Sharing and getting to know each other is what this is all about. Have a great week! Hugs.

Funny cartoons, especially the first one 🙂 Glad your daughter is enjoying Maine. Thank you for participating in the fill-ins, great answers. I said the same thing about this summer- I am happy to see it go and get on with glorious autumn. Have a great weekend!

    • Cathy Kennedy

Thanks for visiting, Claudia! Oh yes, DD#2 and her hubby are having the best time ever! It’s great sharing in their excitement with the pix and texts she sends daily. They want to move to southern Maine one day. I’d really hate to see them leave us but I get it. They are young and it’s good for them to stretch their wings to experience such joys. Who knows, if they make the move, then we might just go for a visit. 🙂

I wish we could have some of those fall colors. I will settle for some cooler temperatures.

  • Suzanne Gunter McClendon

I’m sorry that you’ve had a headache today. I hope it has improved. Headaches are no fun at all.

I love that kitty playing in the sink. 🙂

I can’t wait for you to photograph the autumn colors either! I have to get my fall colors fix of back home through you because I can’t get back there any time soon. I look forward to the beautiful shots that you will get!

I hope that your daughter and her husband have a most wonderful memory-making trip. 🙂

    Have a great weekend!

  • Stacy Uncorked

    Those funnies are funny! 🙂

I take vitamin supplements every day, too – if I forget, I can certainly tell by the afternoon when I start to drag! 🙂

I don’t envy the extra hot summer you had this year – here’s hoping fall brings excellent (and cool) weather.

I’m looking forward to getting pics of fall foliage, too – fall is my all-time favorite time of year! Have a great weekend, Cathy! 🙂

Daily Healthy or Not, Summer and Fall – Friendly Fill-Ins for Friday Fun

    • Cathy Kennedy

Stacy, if I skip my vitamins only once then I usually don’t notice much but if I do it repeatedly then I do feel a difference. Luckily that doesn’t happen often. Here’s to us both capturing a glorious autumn splendor!
