Monday's Music Moves Me

You’re the best!

Awww Mondays hosted by Sandee from Comedy Plus.

Welcome to Monday’s Music Moves Me on Sundays!  When I decided on my themes months ago, it sounded like a good idea but I never imagine how hard it would be until I began looking for songs and so I apologize to you if you struggled with this one, too.  The theme this week is in honor of National Compliment Day. Pick songs that offer a nice compliment to your readers or dance partners.  The first song to start of my playlist truly is fitting for you, my friend.  You’re the Best!

Playlist tracks: 1. You’re The Best ~Joe “Bean” Esposito 2. What Make You Beautiful ~One Direction 3. Your Pretty Smile ~Damien Dempsey 4. You Look Good ~Lady Antebellum 5. Pretty Eyes ~Alex Goot 6. You Are So Beautiful ~Joe Cocker 7. Beautiful Smile ~Lonka

January’s honorary co-hostess happens to me little ole me.  This being said, the 4M co-hostess Marie, Stacy, Alana, and I invite you to hit the dance floor. 😘

This is a music linky party. Every other week we have a suggested music theme (see weekly prompts here) to build your song set around and all participants share YouTube or Vimeo videos for our music enthusiasts.  Failure to meet this basic guideline puts your URL in danger of being removed or labeled – NO MUSIC.

Special thanks to June from Zoolatry for this 4M design!

Our Marie isn’t feeling well. Last week, I learned she had been in the hospital.  She has pneumonia and a UTI but thankfully not Covid.  I’ll keep you posted on any developments.  Kindly keep her prayer, if you would.

This is CAAC signing off, please join me next time for Tickle Me Tuesdays.  Have a boogietastic week!  X💋X💋, Cathy

      Marie,

I’m soooo happy and relieved to hear from you. I’m glad you’re doing some better. Don’t worry about sleeping all the time. That’s precisely what your body needs to get well. So, chillax and eat your chicken noodle soup. 🙂 Sending positive vibes, prayer, and other good feelings your way, my dear!

      John,

No worries on doing your own thing with this prompt or any for that matter. To me, it’s more important to have music to share, so feel free to step off track any time it doesn’t work for you. I like to think the prompts are more or less a guide for those who need them or looking for a challenge. Thanks for joining the party, my friend!

Great song choices here and thank you! I will say “A Beautiful Girl is like a Melody” for you! I actually didn’t mind that One Er…oops…Direction song. I always like the Joe Cocker song and remember John Belushi doing a spot on imitation of Cocker. I am glad Marie is getting the help and she is in my thoughts. I love that pussy cat!

      Birgit,

You’re the second person to mention John Belushi’s Joe Cocker’s impersonation skit from SNL. I’ve never been one for late night TV as I used to fall asleep before 11pm once upon a time. I found it on YT. John Belushi was a talented young man. Too bad drug addiction took his life too soon. Thanks for remembering Marie. She’s doing better but not a 100% yet.

Love your Awww Mondays contribution. That cat love his/her snowman. Adorable.

Great take on the theme this week. Mine will post at 11:59 tonight. I had a bit different take on mine. I hope I stuck with the theme okay. I’m new at this.

Thank you for hosting the fun.

Thank you for joining the Awww Mondays Blog Hop.

Have a fabulous Awww Monday and week. Love hugs. ♥

      Sandee,

I’m glad you joined the dance party, my friend. It’s okay by me if you went a different direction with the prompt. The themes are pretty much a guideline for those who want them but I’m happy just to have the music.

      Eugenia,

I sure do appreciate you keeping Marie in prayer. I can only imagine how bad she’s felt. Many years ago I remember having a horrible bout with what I thought was allergies but it turned into an upper respiratory thing and got into my head big time. I was totally wiped out and completely useless as a mommy. The good news is I haven’t been sick with anything like that in decades. knock on wood Thanks for swinging by to boogie with me, darlin’!

  • 15andmeowing

That is a sweet theme. I will put my thinking cap on. Nice choices. Thanks for hosting. I will add a link tomorrow. XO

A great playlist overall. Some songs here I had forgotten (including the one from One Direction) and one new one that may become an earworm (Beautiful Smile). Compliments to you also, Cathy, and I’m keeping Marie in my thoughts.

    • Cathy Kennedy

      Alana,

I’m glad to keep everyone in the loop on our Marie. Poor thing has been through so much! The good news is in case you missed it, Marie stopped by yesterday reporting that she’s doing better. So, I’m relieved to learn about her progress. Thanks for joining me on the dance floor, my dear. Have a good week!

    Hi, Cathy!

Happy Pawww-some 4M Monday on Sunday, dear friend! I hope you and DH are having a nice weekend and staying warm.

Awww, I wanna smooch that white kitty! I’ve heard of a coonskin cap, but that snowman found head wear that’s even warmer in winter.

I enjoyed listening to your set of compliment songs. I especially liked the catchy, melodic song and mewsic video by One Direction, the English-Irish pop boy band of the early and mid 2010s that were part of a new British Invasion of America. I read that One Direction was active areas in philanthropy that included benefits for children and research into autism and cancer. I also especially like the mix of male and female vocals, the funk, jazz and soul influences and the brassy horn section on Lady A’s Nashville country song “You Look Good.” That’s a great song that crosses over genres! New York artist Alex Goot also has a great sound on his 2011 single “Pretty Eyes.” Joe Cocker’s “You Are So Beautiful” was a biggie, and it always reminds me of John Belushi imitating Cocker on SNL.

Yessum, I will keep friend Marie in my prayers and sending hope for her speedy recovery from her illness.

Once again, you introduced me to a bunch of songs that I instantly like and welcome as ear worms. Enjoy your Sunday and the week ahead and I’ll see you on TMT day, dear friend Cathy!

    • Cathy Kennedy

      Tom,

I didn’t find time to do any delving into this week’s artists/songs. I appreciated knowing One Direction’s commendable for children’s well-being and protection, the most innocent of all humans. It’s a shame anyone can mistreat a little one and it somehow seems a thousand times worse when a child gets sick. I don’t think I’ve seen John Belushi imitating Joe Cocker before. Let me hop over to YouTube to check this out. BRB!

Okay, I’m back. I found Belushi’s skit performing “I Need A Little Help From My Friends which is funny but quite good. I’m going to share it below for anyone who hasn’t seen it.

Thanks for the visit, my friend!
