#WW Blog Break Photo-Op, Part 3

Once upon a time all of America was Virginia. The pristine land found in the Shenandoah Valley provided native Americans, as well as the early settlers with an abundant resources, rich soil for crops and game for hunting.

For the past two weeks, I’ve shared images captured on the Blue Ridge Parkway in northern Virginia. Looking from Raven’s Roost overlook across the Shenandoah Valley at the lush fields and ridges of blue hills in the distance its beauty encompasses me.

Nothing puts the calm in your soul like gazing across God’s lovely world. It’s hard to imagine how some do not believe in the Supreme Creator. I say, how can one NOT believe?!
DSC_4664 raven's roost Our journey continues on the unemployment path. This week marks one month. We are patiently waiting…hoping for new contracts to filter into the office. Should this happen, then there’s a good chance, not 100%, DH will be put back on staff. DSC_4668 Raven's Roost Meanwhile, I’m still on my blog break and am enjoying a little R&R with DH. Thanks for including me in your day and for your patient support. I will pop in from time-to-time and definitely will do return visits.

Please join my linky party below and have fun with a few of my favorite #WW shutterbugs.

Love the shot of the tree. And the cartoon… I heard a statistic that we’re taking more pictures every day than they did in the whole of the nineteenth century. No idea if that’s really true, but amazing if it is.

Hi, dear Cathy! Those are indeed spectacular views of God’s green earth. They make me more determined than ever to visit that area someday. Thank you for posting those amazing shots!

“Out of sight, out of mind” does not apply to genuine friends. I think about you often and continue to hope for an upturn in your husband’s fortunes. Take care, dear friend Cathy!

Several times in our trip across the country my wife and I expressed those same thoughts about God’s hand in creation. Virginia is a beautiful state–a place I wouldn’t mind settling down in.
