Wayback Wednesdays…Blast from the Past

In 1999 the movie, Blast from the Past hit the big screen.  Brendan Fraser is priceless in his role as Adam, a young man locked mentally in the 60s now living in the modern times who falls in love with Eve (Alicia Silverstone).

If you haven’t seen this flick then let me say, it’s well worth watching. Check out the trailer below…

I thought about this film with the problems we’ve had with our computer. There’s a particular scene in the movie where Troy played by Dave Foley mentions having a computer in his room. Frazier’s character couldn’t believe this revelation who lived his entire life set in the 60s. Think about that for a moment, shall we?

This is what a computer looked like in the 60s….

Computers in the 60s were huge, heavy machines that took up entire rooms in air-conditioned buildings.

Now, you understand his excitement over this news. He just had to see for himself what a computer looked like first hand.

The soundtrack from the movie isn’t the best. I mean, there are no billboard hits featured on it. I did find one track I like. I present to you Adam & Eve’s theme song from the movie…

Do you remember the first computer you ever saw?

How old were you when you own your first computer?
