You might know that I’m busy illustrating vintage-style pin-up girls for the A to Z Challenge. My good friend from Tossing It Out is the brain child behind this blog fest which begins April 1st for the globally blog community. Doing my designs has me quite busy and not wishing to short change or to feel forced doing anything beyond my comfort zone right now, I didn’t contribute a drawing, even though I did share a post that work with the theme, for last Thursday. I admit I had an idea bouncing around in my head but kept saying to myself, “I’ll share that another time.” and while visiting those who did participate inspiration got the better of me.
Thanks for stopping in with your coffee for a peek at my masterpiece and …oh yeah for not spilling it on my artwork. 😉 It’s a super pleasure to share my newest illustration with you this morning. 😘 Follow me to Rain’s Garden to browse through the gallery of artistry!
Tomorrow is DH’s off-Friday but with the Safe at Home order in place for the next couple of weeks, we’ll be hanging around the house. That being said, will I be in Blogosphere? That I can’t say. We’ll definitely chillax a bit allowing stresses to wash away while do some binge watching and eating home-made pizza but I might throw up a Friday Sillies post filled with nothing but giggles because we can all use this kind of distraction right now.

Hi Cathy! 🙂 Walking in the Moonlight Naked is great! I love that glitter effect, thanks for sharing it, thanks to Elke for that too!! I love this sketch. And the funny is a good one, you should have linked up anyway! I know I ask people to stick to the theme and your funny did it! 🙂 I am going to make a HUGE effort to visit you every day in April, or at least play catch up when I can because I LOVE your pinups, I can’t wait to see what you come up with!!!
Rain,
I appreciate the words of encouragement on linking up but I don’t feel right about doing that if I’m not contributing to your weekly theme. I’d be honored if you stop off for visits in April to check out my pin-up gals but do what’s comfortable for you. Have a good week, my dear!
Awesome sketch, Cathy! Yep, the cartoon is spot on! We go from winter to spring to summer in two days! Take care and have a great weekend! 🌸 🌼 🌻 🌞
Eugenia,
That’s our weather, too. Right now, we’re enjoying 77º temps. That’s getting a bit too warm to suit me but I’m indoors so I’m not complaining too much. 🙂
That is a cool sketch.
Thanks, Ellen!
A lovely drawing, and yep, that’s south Louisiana weather, too, until the heat fully sets in. Happy Thursday!
Mimi,
The heat and humidity is bad enough here in the summers, I can’t even imagine how awful it is in southern Louisiana. I would not fair well there.
I love your sketch. Perfect.
The weather is wacky here for sure. Spring left and it’s cold, gloomy and wet.
Have a fabulous day, Cathy. Love and hugs. ♥
Thanks, Sandee! I appreciate you telling me. The last few days it’s been a mix of sun & clouds and whole of wind. Thunderstorms are forecast for later tonight. I think the March lion ate the lamb because the weather has been roaring all month. 🙂
I love your naked lady in the moonlight which works well with the song..who doesn’t love some glitter! I laugh at the cartoon because that’s our weather in one day too
Birgit,
That’s exactly how I feel about glitter, who doesn’t love it? 😉
Beautiful art, CK, We have the same weather as in Tennessee😸Pawkisses for a Happy Thursday. Stay Safe Healthy and Yourselfie🐾😽💞
Binky,
I think everyone does and that’s what makes even funnier. The weather is nice today but boy is it ever windy. Thunderstorms are forecast for later. March came in like a lion and is going out like a lion, too.
Very cute two full moons! Stay safe, healthy and virus-free.
Brian,
Yeah, two full moons! LOL
Hi Cathy, dancing in the moonlight is such fun, what a great idea. Love the weather cartoons, too! Have a nice day chilling tomorrow even if you can’t get out. Hugs, Valerie
Valerie,
It means so much have the encouragement of others. 🙂 Have a lovely weekend and be well, dearie!
Hi, Cathy!
Wow, that illustration of yours is surreal, both versions! I can’t make up my mind which one I like better. You have the human form drawn perfectly, in my opinion, and the composition is otherworldly, open to different interpretations. I suppose that’s what good art is all about, making you think, challenging the mind to assign meaning to what the eye sees. I love it!
I well remember the King Harvest Hit “Dancing In The Moonlight,” It was nice to hear it this morning after all these years. We must have a muck fire near us because there is a burning smell in the air this morning. Muck fires are common in Florida during the dry season leading up to June and the start of the hurricane season.
If you publish Friday Sillies, I’ll be here. We could all use a few more smiles and giggles.
Have a happy Thursday, dear friend Cathy!
Tom,
Thank you for your lovely words. Art is for one’s interpretation and I’m happy to know you liked my depiction for last week’s theme. I have quite a ways to go before mastering the human form. I usually get things out of proportion but the learning process is fun. I’ll keep at it until I’m completely confident and comfortable.
I didn’t know what a muck fire was so I asked Google which says…
<
blockquote>fires that burn underground. They are started (usually in late winter/early spring in Florida) when buried decomposing vegetation spontaneously combusts or is ignited by lightning strikes.
I’ve heard of this but didn’t know what it was called. I feel little smarter now. 🙂
I did put throw together, not throw up, a Friday Sillies post. I had to laugh over that goof and I bet you did, too. Have a good day, my friend!
