Alphabe-Thursday

Under the Milky Way and Stars

What’s on mind this Thursday? That’s simple….I have music on my mind. Ultimately music fills my senses in an uplifting spiral of all things good, especially if the music is….

“The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands.” Psalms 19:1 NIV

As a kid, I remember gazing up into the nightly sky and seeing a picture as beautiful as the one above. I wonder what was beyond the Milky Way. Was it the gateway to another world?

On summer nights, we use to lay on the ground trying our best to count all the stars or to find the Big Dipper.  Do you have fond memories like these?

A dialogue between Mufasa and Simba from the Disney children’s movie, The Lion King:

“…Simba..Let me tell you something that my father told me….Look at the star, the great kings of the past look down on us from those stars..”

“Really?”

“..yes..so whenever you feel alone, just remember, that those kings will always be there to guide you….and so will I.”

Although Mufasa’s sentiments give comfort, as a child of the One True King then I know only He watches from afar over His own not earthly Kings.

I think this write-up compliments last year’s letter ‘U’ post, Our Universe. Feel free to re-read or read it for the first time today.

This image does not belong to me. I borrowed it from Google & added the Bible verse.

 1. When was the last time you looked at the night sky?

 2. Do you take part in witnessing first hand special heavenly events such as Comet ISON?
