Through My Father’s Eyes #HollyStarr

To all the fathers in Blogosphere, let me say Happy Father’s Day! I wish I could be with my daddy to give him a hug but since I can’t I will call him later.  Fathers and daughters often have explosive chemistry. Looking back I think it’s often the daughter who throws gasoline on the flame to keep it burning inside her own heart.  Dads aren’t perfect but they do their best to fill the role to the best of their abilities.  It wasn’t until I let go of my disappointments and anger looking to God for understanding. That’s when I began moving forward loving and appreciate the man I call Daddy.  Yes, I call him Daddy, not Dad because I know he sees me as his little girl even though more than five decades have lapsed since God placed me in his charge.

I first want to honor my heavenly Father with ‘Through My Father’s Eyes’.

THROUGH MY FATHER’S EYES
Holly Starr

So many days I listen
To the voice inside my head
I never thought that I’d be
Someone who could be misled

I wanted the mirror to show me
Something I could not see
I needed explanations for expectations
I could never reach

I know I’m not the only one
Who’s ever cried for help
And Jesus did for me
What I could not do myself

He changed my life
I’m changing my mind
He healed all that was broken inside

I’m loving what I can see
With His spirit alive in me
I’m finding beauty for the first time
Looking through my Father’s eyes
(Looking through my Father’s eyes)

From what I see it looks like
You don’t like yourself too much
When I hear you talk it sounds like
You just feel like giving up

I know it’s hard to see through
What this world will tell you
‘Cause misconceptions
And false reflections will never be the truth

Just know I’m not the only one
Who’s ever cried for help
Jesus loves you in ways
That you cannot love yourself

He changed my life
I’m changing my mind
He healed all that was broken inside

I’m loving what I can see
With His spirit alive in me
I’m finding beauty for the first time
Looking through my Father’s eyes

I can see your freedom coming
You’ll be a slave to nothing
When you see through my Father’s eyes

He changed my life
I’m changing my mind
He healed all that was broken inside

I’m loving what I can see
With His spirit alive in me
I’m finding beauty for the first time
Looking through my Father’s eyes
I can see your freedom coming
(I can see your freedom coming)
You’ll be a slave to nothing
(You’ll be a slave to nothing)
I’m finding beauty for the first time
Looking through my Father’s eyes
(I’m finding beauty for the first time)
(Looking through my Father’s eyes)

I’m going to close with a special song to my daddy this Father’s Day.  I know you strive to measure up to God’s standards each day, perfect in this life none of us will ever be but you’re perfect to me, ‘You’re My Hero’!  I’ll love you, Daddy!

I’m currently not in charge of the 4M linky party. I need a break from everything more or less and decided it was time to turn it back over to Marie especially while I’m on an extensive blog hiatus for the most part. You’ll find ‘mewsic from around the world‘ song picks right here tomorrow on the Monday’s Mewsic Moves Me dance floor. Have a blessed Sunday afternoon! x💋x💋, Cathy

Happy Father’s Day to all the special Dads everywhere. Hey, our sweet Zoe didn’t make it, she became an Angel on Thursday.

Ahhh, Brian, I’m sorry to read the mews about your sweet furbling, Zoe. While everyone in your house is sad just know that Zoe feels like a kitten once again. She earned her wings soaring higher than the kitty tree house you shared. Blessings to you, my dear furriend!
