Taking a blog break

If you’re visiting today and don’t know what’s going on in my life, then let me do a quick recap. DH lost his job last Friday. Bummer, right? Well, we were given three months more from his original termination date (3-31-2015) and that was a blessing to get the extension.

For the next bit, DH and I are going to regroup, take some time for ourselves because who knows when we’ll get a chance to unwind for a bit and vacation days with a new job will be zero for this year. So, we plan to enjoy a some R&R.

Be patient with me. I’ll be back to my blogging ways before no time. Meanwhile, say a prayer for us. We know God is in control and it’s in Him we place our trust. Thanks!

Excellent choice, Cathy! Yes, you and DH enjoy this time together. Do something fun and take photos along the way. I’m sure we’ll see them soon.
Keeping my fingers crossed for a new job on the horizon soon.

Claudia, we have taken a few day trips to the mountains. Naturally, I had my big girl camera in toll. It’s nice to get outdoors to soak up the summer fun despite the circumstances that’s allowing this opportunity. I’ll be back to blogging ASAP.

Wishing you and your husband a relaxing and lovely R&R time. I hope he finds a job soon. (I know the problem – my hubs lost his job last Jan and hasn’t gotten a new one yet…)

Thanks, Lexa! Everything will work out well. The R&R feels really nice. The past few months were stressful, especially for DH. This is just want he needs. 😉

Les, the prayers are totally appreciated. Keep it up! There’s always hope that work will filter in the office and if that happens then it’s possible they’d call him back in. That would be just perfect!

Of course. Sometimes you just need to step back and get your bearings. I’ll keep you in my good thoughts, and I hope your rest is well and hubby finds a job in no time.

Liz, yep stepping away from the norm usually helps to get one’s mind clear and refreshed. Thanks for understanding and for the good thoughts! 😉

Caren, thanks for the prayers. My attitude isn’t always good, but you’re right when faced with a crisis then I learned staying positive helps me to deal with everything far better than mopping around.

Your friends will be here for you when it is time for you to return, dear Cathy. I will miss you and I will keep you and your family in my prayers. God bless!

Tom, I may pop in every now and then, but I hope to only be away for a short time. Right now, we’re just relaxing. Thanks for the warm thoughts!

Lee, things will look better. Meanwhile, I’m just going with the flow. I plan to have Aug 1st BOTB up, since it’s nearly done. Hopefully, I will be able to join in on the fun with everyone. I sorta got sloppy on the last round & couldn’t make all the visits. 🙁

That’s rough! 🙁 We’ve been through it a few times over the years and always recovered, eventually. Hope things work out well for you! In the meantime, a little R and R is exactly what you need. Enjoy! 🙂

Debbie, anyone who’s in the 50+ group has been down this road on one or more occasions. I’m confident things will get better. I (we) just have to look to God for direction and trust in Him!

It has been crazy for us, too. When Bill lost his job on 2009 he reinvented himself. But, even still, life has been very crazy lately. I understand, and my heart goes out to you. Enjoy each other and what is important. Prayers & hugs. ❤
