In case you missed it, my newest installment in my James Bond Theme song series BOTB published this past Thursday. Thank you for joining me for another Sunday edition of Monday’s Music Moves Me!
For the first theme for September, John reference Labor Day but wants us to share songs about school. I’m going out on a limb. The way he worded the prompt, I suppose one could either tie the two ideas. Ehh, it’s something to ponder on. Anywho, schools started early last month in our area but when I was little school started after Labor Day.
When I thought about going back to school, I got excited about solving the mysteries of the universe in science, figuring out complicated math equations, diving into book reports, and … what’s that you’re not buying it? You’re right. Those things were the furthest from my mind. I thought about the boys! With that, I twisted my thinking when I built my playlist for this week’s theme. Instead of the typical “school day” tracks, I went with a mix of oldies and newer tunes about friendships, crushes, and loves in the song titles or lyrics. Hit play to enjoy!

Other than recession, what was your favorite and least favorite subjects in school? Art and History were my favorite subjects in school. Did you ever smoke in the boys/girls room? I don’t think I ever did but I think I do remember smoking on school property in an area that was unofficially designated as the smoking zone but the Principal deemed if you’re there then you’re off school property which might result in being reprimanded. Did you cut class? Nope, I was too much of a scaredy Cathy. Did you play any pranks on your teacher? See previous answer. It works here, too. Were you the class clown, dunce, or know-it-all? I wasn’t labeled any of these honorary titles. Did a teacher tell you something that really stuck with you over the years? One teacher implied I didn’t know why I was getting married and felt certain it was doomed. That puzzled me. Wasn’t marrying for love enough? Oh well…it’s been 43 years now. I guess this thing might work.
This is a music linky party. Your co-hostess are Stacy, Alana, and Me. Every other week we have a suggested music theme (see weekly prompts here) to build your song set around and all participants share YouTube or Vimeo videos for our music enthusiasts. Failure to meet this basic guideline puts your URL in danger of being removed or labeled – NO MUSIC.
I want y’all to think about the direction of music prompts for 2023. It won’t be no time it’s here. Do we keep filling the honorary co-host spot or shall I request suggestions to be sent in? I’ll be back next week same time, I hope to see you again. This is CAAC signing off, have a boogietastic week! X💋X💋, Cathy
