Sunday Sillies

Sunday Sillies: Life at our house

Good morning, kittens & dawgs! This weekend has been a chilly one with the highs in the 40s and lows in the 30s. I think Old Man Winter is on its way.

Old Man Winter

Seriously, it’s pretty cold. Here in the Tennessee Valley we haven’t gotten any snow or at least no accumulation, but the Smoky’s got a substantial first snow on the 1st. The Great Smoky Mountains National Park reported that Mt. Le Conte got 22″!  The mountains along the Tennessee/North Carolina state line have been hit a few times more. Old Man Winter has arrived early these parts of the south. So, how goes things your way? Life at our house is…

Well, this week I spotted a video prank on Facebook that was border line cruel, but I laughed so hard that it would be criminal to not share it.

It’s that time of year again….tree cutting time! Yep, we have several that need to come down in our back yard. What back yard? Yeah, I know our back yard is primarily a bank with everything leaning toward the roof. So, anything that was in danger of falling on our house is now reduced to a pile of sawdust. Thank you, Beautiful Tree Care! 😉

This is how I sorta figured the scenario played out, as Shaun and his crew worked.

First, the tree fought back….

Next…

Lumberjack:'TIMBERRRR!' Tree:'MURDERERRRR!'

And….

I won’t lose any sleep over these down trees and it helps a small local business to thrive, right? Our economy really needs a shot in the arm. Here’s a thought to those knot-heads in Washington…CUT OUR TAXES! Nuff said, now to solve another problem – getting rid of a pesky residential critter underneath our house.  Any suggestions?

'No, I don't think it's a piece of exercise equipment.'

Keep smiling and a have laughtastic week!

We just had a dusting of snow in Seoul last week. Hopefully it will be later next month when we are charged with the real force of winter! I had a pesky rodent problem in our home in Bangalore when the person who was supposed to get rid of them insisted that none of the man made gadgets will really work on them. The only way to get rid of rats is to have a cat at home, he said. We did just that. Pet a stray cat and she was true to our home. Kept the rats at bay 🙂

hahah.. we have a good 3 inches of snow and the current temp is 13*. I love the comics about the trees and as for your extra guests, I have two felines that take care of them thankfully.

    Have a relaxing Sunday!
