Summertime
This week has been in the 80s. That’s hot, hot, hot! Does this mean it’s summer already? Nope, but it sure does feel like it.
The past 6-days I haven’t been in Blogosphere because I’ve been in the hospital due to a Crohn’s related illness (Read my news flash, here). And, like the phoenix, I have risen from my sickbed and to pull together an all-in-one post of three smashing fun memes I love!
That being said, allow me to introduce you to the best virtual dance party in Blogosphere which I co-host with a few of my lovelies: XmasDolly, JAmericanSpice, Stacy Uncorked, and this month’s honorary co-host Everyday Life. For our 142nd edition this week, we’re partying to “summer tunes“. Whatever music is getting your groove on, then we want to hear it right here on Monday’s Music Moves Me.
The group Chicago recorded many fabulous top hits in the 70s. I think they were perhaps my favorite band throughout the 70s & 80s. I can’t say why I’m so drawn this song, but it makes me feel relaxed and happy. Do you get these same vibes?
The early 80s brought a new sound and with it came Don Henley. This 1984 Billboard Hot 100 Hit ranked #5 and the haunting melody still follows me through the years as one of faves.
I was never a hard-core metal rocker, but summer didn’t seem like summer until I could jam to this 1972 tune with my classmates….
