I’m keeping today’s post short, kittens & dawgs but hope you’ll decide to link your photo contribution below.

I’m sharing today’s post….

Lexa is the hostess of  Celebrate the Small Things. This week I’m celebrating getting to use my big girl camera. Monday we did grocery shopping, but before we got to that tedious job we took a short drive to one of our favorite spots to enjoy spring blooms seen in the above picture. The forecast looked good for Tuesday and we took a day trip to the mountains. It was gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous. I’m lovin’ this weather!

What are you celebrating?

Those flowers are gorgeous! Spring hasn’t really made it here yet. We got rid of what little snow we had, but we don’t have much in the way of flowers. I wish it would hurry up!

How absolutely gorgeous that landscape is! Spring is really starting to show everywhere and I LOVE it! No more snow *knock on wood quickly*

Kayla, snow this time of year has away of falling when you least expect it. I think we’re safe now, but folks up north still have this threat. I hope you don’t see anymore & for spring flowers to go bloom there!

Merlinda, the return of life to a dormant earth is a beautiful and joyful occasion. I’m all smiles seeing everything wake up after the cold and gray.

So much pretty colour! I hope others clicked to enlarge the photo, because it is truly stunning display of blooms that has to be seen Big! Beautiful.

Les, I have to agree clicking on the images to enlarge them is pretty neat. I love shooting flowers and I hope to do more of it soon. It’s a gray, rainy day. The weekend holds promise, though.

Awww Are those blooming by you already? Awww mannnnnnn…. all we have is dirty leaves and a bit of beautiful green grass peeking up from the ground. My friends are moving to Texas, and they gave me a bunch of statues for my yard that I was really wanting, but could never afford to buy. The two I had has been disintegrating over the years. I’m so happy with them, but man are they heavy. I’ll be doing pics in the future on WW. Thanks for sharing your pics girlfriend. You make me so jealous, but so happy for you.

According to Google Translator Raquel says: Accurate flowers in spring. A great photo.

Thank you, Raquel! Beauty is all around us and I’m loving every moment of it. Now in Spanish: Gracias, Raquel! La belleza está en todas partes y estoy disfrutando cada momento de ella .

Lee, The Dogwood Arts Festival kicks off around mid-April, I believe. That seems later than what I remember them having it in years past, but I haven’t kept up with it since leaving the workforce. I loved working downtown and being able to stroll Market Square to look at the various vendors. That was a lot of fun. If DH doesn’t get a job between now and then, I think I’d like to do that this year. It’s less crowded to take these things in during the week than on a weekend.

Janie, just a few hours north of us, we were on the parkway yesterday and at that elevation it still looks like winter ~ no spring blooms yet! Of course, this will change drastically over the next couple of weeks. I can’t wait to see all the pretty pastel colors cascading across the mountains. When spring flowers go bloom, so does my heart! 😀
