Skywatch Friday

Skywatch Friday Smoke on the mountains

On Wednesday I shared photos taken the day I captured today’s sky view.

The early morning clouds rest between peaks giving the illusion that there’s smoke on the mountains. This is how the Smoky Mountains came to inherit its name. Shot captured from Clingmans Dome parking.

It’s time for Celebrate the small things.

I celebrate…

  • getting the car battery and engine debris shield replaced at the dealership with minimal cost.
  • sketching a Minion b-day card for our SIL (see below) and hand-stamping Christmas cards finished.
  • holiday preparation and general baking which I find relaxing.
  • more creative DIY projects in the works with excitement to try my hand at making springerle cookies. I hope to pull together a post in December on this baking artwork!
  • having a few days of beautiful weather this week because the forecast is calling for a cold weekend. The good news is it will be a nice time to do a little baking. 🙂

Life should be celebrated, even when it seems like you have no reason to celebrate. Look around, I bet you’ll see something good in your life! What are you celebrating?

One way to celebrate is with  Friendship Friday and Friday Features Linky Party, where you’re sure to make new friends and get lots of inspiration to boot!

That’s a wrap for now. I am taking Thanksgiving week off;  I’ll be back December 1st for BoTB and I hope you can join me. May you and your family have a joyous time celebrating life’s bounty around the table. Until we meet on the other side of the lens, have a fototastic day!

    Just. Gorgeous!!
I am celebrating so much today…. and I needed to because boy I hit a FUNK! Shameful, but God is good and restoreth the soul and so do good friends and warm sunny days in November. It really is a wonderful life of beauty if we just take the time to get out of our own heads, and SEE it. 🙂

Les, we all get in funks every now and then. It’s nice to find ways of celebrating when you’re feeling like that because that’s a sure way of lifting yourself out of it. I hope you and your crew feel better really soon.

What an adorable minion! I bet it puts a big smile on your sister-in-law’s face! Your getting so organized for the holidays. I can never manage to do that…. Have a great weekend!

Lexa…Oopsy, SIL could mean sister-in-law. *slap forehead* I actually made the card for my son-in-law. He loves animated movies. I’m not an organized person by a long shot, but I do try to keep some things in line. It just makes the holidays easier and less stressful. Thanks for stopping by. I’m helping DH repair the lawn mower. We hope to take care of the yard one more time before winter hits. Have a good weekend and I’ll be by ASAP.

Aw, the minion is super cute! Congrats on getting those cards done, and starting baking and things. I’m forcing myself to keep my mind off of all those things until after Thanksgiving. That’s the weekend our tree goes up and then everything goes crazy. 😉

Thanks, Tonja! I can’t keep my mind off the holidays. I pretty much tie Thanksgiving and Christmas together when I do my planning and if I can get a leg up on things then I feel all the better about things when December rolls around. I actually want to put our small tree up this weekend, if I have time. I’ll visit ya after while; I’m in the midst of helping the hubs with a repair job outside.
