Wordless Wednesday

Photographer shooting a photographer shooting deer #WW

Welcome Kittens & Dawgs! It makes me happy you decided to join me for {not-so}Wordless Wednesday fun. Let’s give a round of applauds to this week’s featured photographer….

The Piscean Me

Congratulation, Srivi! Please go by to see what’s new on her site and while you’re there be sure to leave your footprints behind in comments. Now, I invite you to link your WW post below.

Don’t you just hate it when you see a picture and something spoils the view? That happens more times than I can count. This time, I decided to work the distraction into my photo. Here’s a photographer (me) shooting a photographer shooting deer in a field in Cades Cove. Did I say that right or is that confusing? Oh well, you get the idea.

I used Pixelmator to crop, bump color hue, and added copyright inside heart shape to my photo file. If you wanna see a larger image, then right-click, select “View Image” for twice as nice viewing experience.

Excuse my silliness, but this picture spoke to me and I had to follow the voice inside my head.

Corny? Yeah, just a little, but I hope it made you smile. 😀

This is a longer than usual, please bear with me lovelies. If you visited yesterday, then you know Les from Ink Interrupted, passed the torch to me to take on Three Day Quote Challenge.

On day 2, I like to share this quote…

The first sentence of Al Lopez’s quote resonates with me, “Do what you love to do and give it your very best.” That’s what I do with all of my passions, but especially with photography. This is something that encompasses more than creativity, but incorporates the art of leisure and fun. This is what I always take away from a day spent photographing.

Would you like to host the 3-Day Quote Challenge on your blog? If you would, then ask me to include you! Today’s, lucky recipient is Patricia. Feel free to accept or decline without repercussions, my friend! See sticky note for guidelines.

Have a fototastic day!

Whew — when I saw the word “shoot” and “deer” I got a little panicked for a moment. Thankfully it is only those silly “guns!” LOL Love the edit. Definitely gave me a smile after a very long day. So long, I have not even had chance to get a WW post together – even though I had pictures I wanted to share. It will have to be Thursday post this week.

That quote is fantastic. It reminds me of this interview I saw – can’t remember who – and they said find what you love and let it kill you. Well, not sure I want to die just yet – Ha – but I get the sentiment. It’s so important to live your passions fully.

Those captions are brilliant. And speaking of taking pictures of photographers, I have a picture of my grandmother taking a picture of me. Of course, we did that deliberately.

Great quote. I always believe in the theory of “take the left turn.” That comes from the HOF basketball coach Al McQuire who coined it. He was talking about when he left home if he took the right turn, it was to the office and suits and people chasing life. If he took the left turn, it was going and letting life come to him at a slower pace.

    Also, great deer photos.

Patrick, your basketball coach was wise in his approach to life. It would be awesome if all could adapt that kind of mind set. There would be a lot more happy people in this world and fewer stressed related health conditions. Thanks for joining me today!

haha, I love the comment bubbles on the dear, well done!

Love the quote even more. I have always told my kids that they should aim for work they will love to do. It really is the difference between a career and a job.

I love what I do even though its not what I set out to do, life is funny that way.

    • Cathy Kennedy

Kisma, thanks! I was feeling a bit silly, but the comment bubbles just worked. Your advice to your kids is good and you’re right it makes all the difference in how you view your job. Making those kinds of decisions early in life can simplify how happy & productive one is with whatever their do for a living. That’s fantastic you love what you do!
