Nobody Does It Better BOTB Showdown Results
In last week’s Nobody Does It Better BoTB showdown, I asked you my faithful readers to pick your favorite cover artist between two wannabe singers, Jemma Johnson and Sophie Madeline. Who won and how did you vote? Here’s how the battle played out.

SOPHIE MADELEINE WINS BY A LANDSLIDE!
I’m not sure what I was thinking when I put these two battle contenders together but I’m fairly sure I didn’t think a ukulele player would win by a huge margin. I definitely agree with the majority and I like Deidre’s description of Sophie’s performance as a confidential admission instead of a soundtrack.

It may have been a landslide but at least it wasn’t a shutout! And YOU managed to get your BOTB Results page posted on time, which is more’n I can say for some other folks (myself being a “folk”).
I’ll see you on October 1st for the next installment in “Bond. James Bond.” (I’m beginning to suspect that you’re a big fan of the Bond series. Just playing a hunch here. [;^D} )
Oh! And also I wanted to thank you for retrieving my lost comment / vote in your last Battle. If that should happen again sometime (it will), I’ll just give it a couple days to see if you find my wayward vote, and if not, I’ll E ya about it, like I did this time.

Hi Cathy, it looks like you missed my vote, which was also for Sophie (see my comment Sept. 2), so it was an even bigger landslide. 🙂 She did give the song a little more life, even with a ukulele!

Hey Girlfriend, I was just thinking about you, and was wondering how’s your back feeling? Right now with the warm weather you shouldn’t be doing all that bad unless you’re sitting wrong or doing stuff that you shouldn’t be, but I do have a tip for you that a doctor once told me, and then a nurse told me too. Sleep with a pillow between your legs to keep your back in alignment. Okay, having lunch with my sister-in-law. Hope that helps some baby girl. Things are tolerable regarding my back/leg issue. It helps to not do anything more than I have to at this point but I can’t keep this up. I hate being inactive. I miss using my elliptical. I want to be back to the old me again! I’m sure it’ll happen all in good time, though. Thanks for checking in on me, darlin’!

Thanks for reporting the final vote tally in your Carly Cover BOTB. Even though I voted for Sophie, I’m a bit surprised that she won the contest by a landslide because I enjoyed Jemma’s cover as well. Yessum, it’s safe to say that Sophie put a little more genuine feeling into her performance. You gave us even more reason to like Sophie by posting that bonus mewsic video “Stars.”
