Monday Morning Musings

Monday Morning Musings #3

Wow, it really feels like fall! This morning the temperature was in the low 50s. My toesy got cold, but not cold enough to force me to wear socks. I know those days are coming soon.

I have a few things I want to point out to you in my sidebar.  I have added some goodies.

At the top,  you’ll notice I place a clickable North Country Wind Bells button for you guys to check out.  Right now, I am hosting a giveaway for a NCWB “Boothbay Harbor” wind bell, and if you want to enter it, then there’s a link below the button for your convenience.

Next up, you will see (about mid-way down) I have created a NEW Facebook fan page and Twitter account. I am asking you, if you haven’t already, to follow me on both. The reason for the change is I feel like my old accounts don’t accurately represent the image of my blog anymore. In time, I hope to fade those out completely.

Over the weekend, my newest product (Google Nexus 7 Tablet) for review from Staples arrived! Yee-haw! You can take the girl out of the country, but you can’t take the country out of the girl. Anywho, watch for my insight on this cool techie toy to pop up on your radar soon.

Follow allow for more Monday Morning Musings with today’s blog hops and NO-Rule linky party:

My first blog hop takes me to Stasha from The Good Life with Monday Listicles. Today’s prompt is…

10 THINGS I LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING MY SON DO
  1. Walk daily with God
  2. Fall in love with his soul mate (possibly has happened as I type)
  3. Finish college
  4. Get his dream job
  5. To listen to the wisdom of others
  6. Learn always from his mistakes and never repeat the same ones.
  7. To be a wonderful husband
  8. To be a great father
  9. To be the man God intends for him to be
  10. Ultimately to be blissfully, crazy happy. After all, if he is in walking in God’s will then this one will definitely fall into place.

Each week, Heather, puts on loan FOUR QUESTIONS for anyone to borrow and answer for your blog post, and then she give you the option to add a fifth question of your own for those who are visiting your blog to answer in the comment section, along with commenting on the four questions you answered. Don’t forget to grab the MQAM badge for your blog or post or both from Acting Balanced blog!

1. Next Saturday is “Ask a Stupid Question Day”… in preparation for it, please share a stupid question you’ve been asked or would like an answer to… Why spoil the surprise when nearly every question that shoots out of my mouth constitutes as a stupid question or at least in my mind. You know sometimes I think, am I not getting it or what? I tend to prefix all stupid questions with, “This may be stupid, but I’m told the only stupid question is the one not asked”, just so I will feel less stupid for asking it in the first place.

2. Do you believe that workplace dressing has become too casual?  I have been away from the work force for 25 years, but if what I am seeing when I dine out as any indicator then I would have to say yes. By large the majority of the people, mostly women, have grown very relaxed in how they dress. Eating in a nice restaurant for instance has lost its appeal. I think it’s a shame to walk into a classy establishment to see ladies wearing shorts and flip-flops.

3. What technology is on your wishlist?  Is there a technology that hasn’t been invented yet that you want to see happen? We are getting closer and closer to the Jetson’s way of technology. We can do Face Time when we chat by phone now, which I think is totally cool and something I once thought was only make believe. So, now I am looking forward to cars that fly. That is, if they don’t get too far off the ground. lol How about you?

4. September is Honey Month – are you a fan of honey?  How do you use it? I do love honey, but I don’t eat it very often because of the calories. I mean, how else am I going to keep my school girl figure? *dream on* Usually, when I do have honey I mix softened butter in with it and serve with hot biscuits or just add it to a cup of tea. As I said, honey is a rare treat for me but one I love. Mmmm, I would love some Orange Blossom honey!

BONUS question:  What is your favorite type of latte? One of my favorite lattes is pumpkin spice. I use to treat myself or DH would treat me to a cup of Starbuck’s in the fall, but now I just make my own lattes and personally I like them better. Now I can have a latte anytime I want.

To complete my Monday morning ramblings, I want to skip over to Carissa’s for:

lowercase letters

On Sunday, we joined DH’s boss and his wife in celebrating their Golden Anniversary. At the edge of the parking lot, I saw this gorgeous sight…
