Monday Morning Musings

Monday Morning Musings #1

I have been wanting to launch my own random blog hop for sometime. It’s a brand new week to kick off a brand new meme. Join me for my NO-rule Monday Morning Musings!

Each week, I hope to feature one special blogger, if you wanna be included as a possible candidate, then don’t forget to link up!

I thought today would be an excellent time to play along with a few bloggy buddies I haven’t joined in quite awhile. The whole being sick followed by surgery thing still has me behind or at least this is the excuse I’m clinging to.

The truth of the matter is, I’m trying to get a handle on how I want to organize my daily meme participation. Honestly, I can’t get to the ones I want in on the day they actually happen. That being said, I decided to shoot for a late day hook up for my own musings.

First up, I wanna visit Carissa @lowercase letters who has her own version of random called Miscellany Monday.

My miscellany mention for this Monday is none other than the giveaway I am promoting on my blog. What’s that, you say, a giveaway? You mean, you didn’t hear the news? I am hosting a Diamond Candles giveaway and it’s going on now. Don’t worry, you have a chance to still get in on the action!

a Rafflecopter giveaway

Don’t forget you can follow Diamond Candles to learn about new products and promotions on your favorite social media connections such as FacebookPinterest, Instagram, or Twitter!

If you’re too impatient to wait to see, if you are the winner, then rest at ease. You can save $5 off your next purchase when you use coupon code: BX$5OFF at checkout. Also, for a limited time you can get free shipping on orders $45 or more, just use coupon code SHIPDEAL-45.

Good luck!

Next up is blog bud is Stasha @The Good Life hosts the Monday Listicles. No fretting now. This is actually a fun, cool kinda meme. Each week you get a listicle prompt to inspire you to create your own list of 10 things. This week’s theme choice is things we really shouldn’t know sent in by Heather.

10 THINGS I REALLY SHOULDN’T KNOW
…dark chocolate doesn’t really boast my sex drive.
…any or all artificial sweeteners are harmful to my health.
…no matter how much I exercise I will never have stone hard abs.
…my favorite male actor likes men.
…but do know is Social Security most likely will not be around for us.
…my moisturizer doesn’t fade wrinkles.
…is others who think wearing short dresses isn’t cool for someone my age.
…the cost of plastic surgery is out of reach.
…that one day, I’m going to look into the mirror and see an old woman staring at me.
…the potential future-cast for someone who’s 50-something.

Finally, I’m rounding out today’s hop with Acting Balanced who puts on the Monday Quiz About Me meme. A fun way to get to know one another just a little better. This week Heather is wanting to know these things about you & me:

  1. September is Better Breakfast month – if time, money, calories etc. were no object, what would you have for breakfast? Blueberry pancakes with maple syrup and a side of sausage.
  2. How often do you do a major clean out? The question is when am I not doing a major clean? I do dedicate time twice a year to do deep cleaning projects despite of my continuous efforts to cut the need for a special time to do such chores.
  3. What makes you feel appreciated? A simple thank you or a kind expression of how much something I did means to another person. That’s all it takes to make me feel appreciated.
  4. If you had the choice, would you employ someone to help around your home/life? Maid, Nanny, Cook, Butler or some other form of help? I would hire someone to keep up the yard work. Both DH & I have allergies to grass, trees, and pollen. Having someone to do this one job for us would be a huge help!

Do you like music?  Do you like to dance?

If you’re nodding your head yes like I think you are, then you’re gonna wanna check out my Monday’s Music Moves Me post!

Have a marvelous Monday!
