Meet Me on Monday

Monday Fun

Dogwood blossoms on the property of Sgt. Alvin York’s Home in Pall Mall, TN captured with Canon Powershot SD880

Over the weekend, we visited Sgt. Alvin York’s home. If you don’t know anything about this man, then read more HERE. This highly decorated hero lived only a short drive from us and it was amazing to step into the past for a brief period to visit his grave site, tour his home, and visit the old grist mill he once ran as a family business just across the river from his home.

There is nothing like enjoying where you live and looking for opportunities to take advantage of the historical sites and natural beauty around us. Our weather was typical of a Blackberry winter on Saturday, but this was a great way to spend out time and we didn’t allow the mid-40s temperatures to spoil our adventurous mindset.

Now for Java’s MMoM questions are:

1 . Caesar Salad or Garden Salad?

The best garden salad I’ve ever had from a restaurant in town called, Copper Cellar.  Everything is so fresh, veggies, real bacon pieces, croutons, and they have this to die for house dressing called creamy cheddar cheese.  I can make a meal on nothing, but their house salad and complimentary bread.  I could eat one of these now!

2. Will you be watching the Royal Wedding on April 29th?

No, I’m not planning on it.  However, I  may set the recorder to catch it.  I did make the effort to watch Prince Charles and Lady Diana’s ceremony years ago.  That was exciting for me since I had never seen a Royal wedding before.

3. Last thing you spent lots of money on?

Anytime, we buy something large then we look to do the zero percent financing. This gives us 18 – 24 months to pay our purchase off with no penalties. With that being said, then the last thing had to be some sort of electronics such as a computer no doubt.

Window seat or aisle seat?

No window seat! No aisle seat!  That leaves me with only one option no airplane seat at all.  Yep, that’s right, I don’t travel by plane.  My favorite means of transportation is the automobile.

5. Do you know your blood type?
