Gala Giveaway Prizes, The Fourth Kind, Cat News, Real Estate Blues, & Trouble Accepting

The Designated Riders

Have you been dancing with the Love Train one Monday’s Music Moves Me? What, you haven’t? Right now, a Gala Giveaway is underway to mark the 100th week anniversary.

There are five prizes being given away. One of the prizes includes a copy of The Designated Riders’ CD (see picture above). These men play some of the best classic rock from the 80s. Many of them most of us grew up dancing to and what today’s generation is calling “the oldies”. Yeah, right “the oldies”, but they are definitely goodies! Real keepers in the music world. You’re may want to try to win a copy of The Designated Riders’ music for your own enjoyment. Click here to enter!

Another prize in the kiddie is an inspirational, custom designed and created beaded bracelet like this…

This charming bracelet or one very similar to it can be worn on any occasion with any appeal.  If you would like the chance to win one for your very own, then be sure to click here!

This is really a cool blog hop! I’ve been boogie woogieing with these ladies for most of the 96 weeks and recently, honored with the induction as their newest co-conductor. You’ll also notice our very own, Stacy Uncorked is a co-conductor, as well.

Do you believe we are alone? I mean, as in extraterrestrial visitors? Part of thinks it would be cool that we, intelligent life-form, aren’t really alone in the universe, but I believe if aren’t “alone” then God would have revealed this truth to us instead of keeping it a big mystery for us to unlock. Why are we so drawn to the unknown? I’m clueless on this one. This brings me to the reason I’m talking about aliens. We watched The Fourth Kind on Blu-ray recently upon another person’s recommendation who absolutely loved it and thought it was the scariest thing ever. Personally, I didn’t think it was scary and I have some deep reservations about the doctor’s perspective on the events which supposed to have really happened. If you’re interested in owning this like-new copy of The Fourth Kind, then I’m willing to sell it to you for only $5.00. This will be on a first-come, first-serve basis, so if you want it then zip me an email asking me to reserve it for you.

Last night, DH sent me this email…

“Cat ladies not all there,” scientists say.

“The lights are on, but nobody’s home,” claim scientists.

“Don’t let them make jello for you!” scientists warn.

linking back to this article: Cat Ladies More Likely to Commit Suicide Scientists Claim

DH sent the same link to our DDs via text….

DD#1 replied, “I have two cats. Does this mean, I’m twice as likely to commit suicide?”
No, you can’t because you have a new car to pay for,” responded DH.

Are you laughing yet? Okay, the dialogue preceding the link is my DH wacky sense of humor and if you’re a fan of National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation, then you’ll get where this is coming from. Here’s the dinner scene…

Lime jello and kitty treats. Mmm good, right? lol  Really, the news article is quite interesting and you may want to read it for yourself.

I’m looking at real estate online. I find it’s a frustrating process with the criteria I’ve set  – 5+ acres, basement,  and at least 2500+ square feet below $300,000. Anything remotely close to the upper end of this price tag will be unreachable for us. If only I could find what I’m looking for around $200,000 would more in our limits…I think. Is it time to play the lottery yet? I’ll keep snooping around the net until something catches my eye enough where I actually want to talk to a realtor. Patience hasn’t always been my strong suit, but at least this doesn’t cost a thing for me to do and maybe I’ll find our dream home still.  Think happy thoughts, right?

Things I’m having trouble accepting…

  • The girl in the mirror looks a lot like me, but she’s not as young as I use to remember
  • No resolve on my hormone issues yet
  • My scales don’t seem to want to budge
  • Aches and pains in my hands…is this a sign of arthritis?

That’s enough babbling for one morning. Take a few minutes to enjoy a cup of coffee with your bloggy friends, as you enjoy some random reflections, considerations, or brooding with some of these wonderful ladies…

The reflection I see is so not what I see when I close my eyes. When did I get so old?

I don’t believe in Aliens but I’m actually afraid to say that out loud just in case they are for real and hear me. I don’t think I would handle being abducted for alien testing very well!

Thanks for linking up with us!

    Love the cat stuff….
I have trouble seeing the girl in the mirror’s gray hairs… it seems like they pop out quicker and quicker each month

Of course there’s other life out there. All those stars in the sky! Since God created all things, surely there are other planets with his creations on them. But I think that maybe we are meant to strive for the stars without actually reaching them. Everyone needs to dream!

My hands have been hurting a lot lately. I’m firmly denying that it’s at all age related–I’m not that old yet.
