For December the Monday’s Mewsic Moves Me theme is Christmas each week except for the last Monday of the month. All-aboard the Christmas Express. No Grinches or Scrooges allowed to ride, if you’re mean and grumpy, then you don’t wanna ride this train cause it’s meant for the jolly folks only.
The second Monday of the month last December I used a vintage collection of Christmas mewsic to honor my late MIL’s birthday. I’m doing another vintage collection but not quite that far back instead I’m going back to 1961, my birth year since it’s my birthday and who better to sing to me than those cute little furballs – Theodore, Simon, and Alvin! Let’s get this party started!

Late last night I noticed Marie left a comment on my site. Her computer died and she was trying to get her laptop going with a number of issues going on with that, so if you don’t see our hostess boogieing then this is why. Let’s say a prayer that she gets things smoothed over quickly. Dealing with technically problems is such a headache!

DH and I are doing it again. *wild crazy smile on face* We’re on staycation this week! *clap hands with glee* Traffic in Blogosphere is slow during December generally so this is a good time to be away. Our weather looks ify, so I’m not sure what we’ll do but one thing for sure is, we need to get Christmas gifts ordered and shipped. It’s almost mid-month. But first, today is someone’s birthday and although a certain someone offered to make the birthday girl a cake, she declined the sweet offer with already too much holiday candy in the house. Instead, she requested Rocky Road ice cream for her birthday treat but after a certain someone asked again about the cake, they both got the idea of getting a box of lunch cakes so she wouldn’t miss out on the tradition. 🙂 I might not be here officially but I’m not leaving you high and dry. I was here earlier this week and thought I commented – I’m so sorry! “Happy Birthday, Merry Christmas” is a nice song for those of us born on or near Christmas, which includes (or included) me, my late mother in law, one of my late grandparents, and my sister in law. And Alvin and the Chipmunks’ big hit is still so popular – just something about that song! I had never heard more than that one song.

Ohhhh have a great staycation. It is good and certainly a must to do something during this time. Mr. M. and I have date night once a week or so. This week we will get in the car and drive around town to see all the Christmas lights. Ohhh give me Rocky Road ice cream over cake any day. LOL Have a wonderful time off and love each day.
