Monday's Music Moves Me

CAAC welcomes Crazy Lixx to the dance floor

Awww Mondays hosted by Sandee from Comedy Plus.

Welcome to Monday’s Music Moves Me on Sundays!

It’s a brand new year.  I hope y’all had a safe and fun New Year’s Eve celebration.  Yesterday, my first BOTB for 2022 went live.  If you haven’t voted yet, I hope you’ll take a moment to do that now.  It’s brand new year and a brand new month which means we have a brand new guest hostess.

In the spotlight this month is….

4M co-hostesses: MarieStacy, Alana , & little ole me

 THE PARTY BEGINS HERE!

This is a music linky party. Every other week we have a suggested music theme (see here) to build your song set around and all participants share YouTube or Vimeo videos for our enthusiasts.  Failure to meet this basic guideline puts your URL in danger of being removed or labeled – NO MUSIC. Thanks for joining the party!

A friend of Sandee’s from Comdey-Plus revamped the 4M badge, actually she did two and she did a fabulous job. I liked this one.  I really appreciated the kindness of the person who created the badges and on behalf of the 4M crew, thank you!

Does this mean I’m pulling a double this month? If it is, then it’ll be the best and most fun double ever. Alright, this week’s theme is freedom of song choice.  In 2019, I stumbled on the Swedish glam band, Crazy Lixx, with the discovery of Hunter of the Heart.  The video itself was funny reminding a lot o heavy rock bands from the 80s.  I  saved the YT link for a future use.   It didn’t dawn on me when my pal Tom at SPMM featured the band at the end of September last year that I had already made the find.  I really dig the Guns N’ Roses, Aerosmith, Kiss, Whitesnake, Alice Cooper, Def Leppard and Mötley Crüe influences in their sound.  What’s crazy is Crazy Lixx has been around since 2002.

This morning, I’m sharing with the bands 2019 Forever Wild album.  Hit play to enjoy the tunes in the background and if grove makes me move then by all means boogie!

Tracks: 1. Wicked 2. Breaking Out 3. Silent Thunder 4. (She’s Wearing) Yesterday’s Face 5. Eagle 6. Terminal Velocity 7. It’s You 8. Love Don’t Live Here Anymore 9. Weekend Lover 10. Never Die (Forever Wild)

Guest spots for 4M are filling up for the new year already.  I think there’s only three months left open.  If you’re interested, take a peek to see what’s available and shoot me an email to secure your place.  For those who’ve already signed up for a turn, you can send your theme picks to me any time.  I’ll post on my page pronto.  That’s a wrap for now. Join me next time for Tickle Me Tuesdays.  Have a boogietastic week!  X💋X💋, Cathy

Happy New Year Cathy! I hope it was nice if quiet. Now let’s see what this year will bring. I hope better news for me and many others. I am not one for this heavy metal music so I listened to just part of it before I had to stop…lol.

My dear friend I am at a loss for words and am finding it very difficult to do my blog. Can you believe that? After all these years ME…. I am at a loss for words and I just don’t know what to say or how to start my blog. This year… NO, the last few years I have been going down hill. I cannot figure this out… so maybe my blog will be just tunes today.! So if you see that that’s why! I need to get my act together, and my stupid head. Please try to understand… just know that I’ll be okay I just have to get my mojo working again I guess. Also, so you know this is also my first paragraph of my blog… hahahaha I’m just a major mess-up lately I guess. So hopefully “2022” will be a better year for me!!! Believe me I have been in my “Prayer room” praying that it is! Love is a thing that I would like to share with you my dear friend! Our friendship I do hold dear to my heart and always will. Don’t ever forget that, so how about a little rock and roll and a dance on our wonderful, WONDERFUL DANCE FLOOR! LET’S ROCK AND HAPPY NEW YEAR! WOO HOO!!!!

    Hi, Cathy!

Happy Pawww-some 4M Monday on Sunday, dear friend!

Awww, that’s a beautiful image of young critters romping and playing in the snow and giving each other lubbins.

I’m truly excited that you decided to showcase a band I’ve been promoting for years – Crazy Lixx – and thank you for mentioning me. I’m letting this album play through as I write my comment. I could listen to these guys all day and never get tired of their sound. They have a great lead singer. Their songs are well written, melodic, highly listenable. I’ve been sold on these guys for a long time and have two or three of their CDs. When it comes to bringing back the pure fun and excitement of 80s rock, the authentic sound of classic American hair metal bands like Mötley Crüe, Swedish retro-style glam rockers of Crazy Lixx are the best I’ve heard. Year after year, they crank out new gems of the genre, and some of them are offered here on this album including “Silent Thunder,” which has its own video, “(She’s Wearing) Yesterday’s Face” and “Weekend Lover.” As you know, Crazy Lixx released their latest album Street Lethal in November, and I went wild over their song and video “Anthem For America” which, as you mentioned, I posted last fall. These guys get it. They don’t do a parody or 80s rock. they don’t “imitate” other bands. They are the real deal. If they were an American band and had emerged along with Kiss in the mid 70s or at the start of the 80s as did Mötley Crüe, they surely would have become one of the hottest bands in the land.

Thank you very much for getting my day started with an excited smile and for the inspiring meme to close the post. Enjoy your Sunday and have a wonderful week ahead, dear friend Cathy!
