BOTB The Winner Takes It All Results
Last week, I asked y’all to pick your favorite artist between two female vocalists covering Hall & Oates # 1 Billboard Hot 100 hits, She’s a Maneater.
I apologize but I need to make a correction. Emeryld Ryders wasn’t the right name for the vocalist. The first female cover is Katie Lowe with Sean Daniel on guitar. Katie and Iris are fantastic artists with different vibes. Had I voted, I think I would’ve gone with Katie mainly because I loved the violin (The Emeryld Ryders) accompaniment in her music arrangement. I didn’t like that lazy singing style of not enunciating her words. That annoyed me. Let’s see how things went. In the end, the voting scale was heavily lopsided in favor of Iris Noëlle 6 to 3 making her the winner in my mid-February BOTB! 👏
As a reminder, here is how you voted…
Birgit, Tom, & Ellen liked Katie Lowe best.
Nicole, Sandee, John, Mimi, Brian, & Stephen pushed Iris to victory!
I have a new BOTB theme series slated to begin March 1st and I hope you’ll join the fun. All participants in this bi-monthly meme are found in my side menu. Join me tomorrow as I share with you my newest art illustrations on Thursday Art Date with Rain . This is CAAC signing off but not without leaving my peeps with the preferred pick in this battle an original. X💋X💋, Cathy

Brian
They really were both good though.

Brian,
I thought so, too. I even enjoyed more listening to Iris’ music on YouTube. She has more music videos posted than Katie which makes me curious. Oh well…thanks for checking out the results, my furriend!

It was a good battle. I’m sure the new series will be exciting.
Nice work on the picture!

Mimi,
I hope so. I’m excited about it! 🙂
Birgit
Oh..I was hoping Katie would have won but, alas, she came in 2nd. It is was good battle. I love qhat you did to the picture.. UT looks like an impressionistic painting.

Birgit,
Katie did a nice job. There’s something I didn’t like about her style but overall I would’ve gone with her, too. I’m glad you liked the Brushstrokes version of my photograph. 🙂

A fun battle this week.
I want to take the vacation you did to Maine. So beautiful.
Thank you for joining the Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Wordless Wednesday. Love and hugs, my friend. ♥

Sandee,
Thanks for checking out the outcome in this battle. You should go to Maine. You and Zane would enjoy it. I thought about you frequently as I looked across the water at all of the beautiful sea vessels. Maybe next time, we can take a day charter to an island or to see some sea life. That would be cool!

Hi, Cathy!
Happy Wild, Wacky and Almost Wordless Wednesday, dear friend!
My favorite part of this post is your Brushstrokes enhancement of that picture you took on your Maine adventure. That’s a fantastic tool. You turned a great photograph into an amazing oil or watercolor painting. I love the effect!
Regarding your band battle, I saw a lopsided contest developing right from the start on day one, and I wound up on the losing team. I’m sorry I misidentified the artist I voted for. As you well know, there is little or no information to be found on many of the artists that upload their songs to the internet. I enjoyed the ABBA cover by the winning act, Iris, along with her full-blown music video performing an original song. However, in all honesty, I still prefer artist #1 – Katie, Sean and their celtic band Emeryld Ryders.
Thanks for reporting the final tally. I’ll be over to see you on 4M Monday. Until then, have a wonderful Wednesday and enjoy the rest of your week and weekend, dear friend Cathy!

Tom,
I love the Brushstrokes app! It really does a good job turning most pictures into nice painting-like images. I’m thrilled you liked the photo-edit!
It is true many of the uploads by lesser known artists are not properly credited but I should’ve paid closer attention to the cover artists’ names because had I clicked “show more” then I would’ve seen Katie’s identity. Oh well, at least I caught the mistake. 🙂
Thanks for dropping by, my friend!
