Battle of the Bands

Die Another Day BoTB showdown RESULTS

Good-morning, if you’re looking to join the 4M party you can hit the dance floor here.  Wait, don’t hurry off!  I have Battle of the Bands results for you.

First off, let me offer my apologizes for not responding to y’all comments and secondly, I’m sorry for not having an explosive battle.  It was a struggle to come up with two male vocalists in this round.  I know how hard it is to shut off the original artist’s version and since Madonna is a girl I fought the urge to use female contenders.  I wasn’t crazy about the male contestants completely but they were the best I could find.  Maybe, I should’ve used female vocalist after all.  Oh well…what’s done is done.

In this showdown, it wasn’t much of a contest.  Had it not be for John it would’ve been a total blow out.  My favorite of the two male singers happened to be the majority’s choice, as well.  The winner in the Die Another Day BOTB is Ziggy Venneman!

Special thanks to each of you for doing your civic duty by making your voices heard in this Battle of the Bands in picking the winner. 👏 It certainly makes putting these posts together tons more fun to have y’all participate. I hope you join me September 1st for my next battle.  That’s it for this time.  I will close things off with another performance by Ziggy covering Damien Rice “Volcano”.  This is CAAC signing off, have a bandtastic day! X💋

A battle is a battle and they are always interesting. I think in this case, perhaps it was the song. Keep on keepin’ on!

It still is interesting how the battles work. He’s got a good bounce and I like the Last song except for the endng. It sounded like another song was coming but it wasn’t.. it was just him playing over himself. I found that distracting

No surprise to me. It’s always fun to hear and vote for our favorite rendition.

I emailed Marie last week, but haven’t heard back from her. If I could get access to her WordPress blog (admin) I think I could fix her issues with a couple of plugins. Would make her blogging far easier.

Have a fabulous day and week, Cathy. Love and hugs. ♥

    Hi, Cathy!

I just got back from a morning doctor appointment, dear friend. Sorry your band battle was another lopsided affair, but happy that most people’s ears agreed with yours and mine.

I appreciated the “Volcano” cover, the bonus Ziggy song you posted. I think his earthy, organic, downbeat, forlorn vocal style is an acquired taste. If we all took time to listen to more of his recordings, we would probably find a lot to like. Even when I encounter artists or mewsic styles I don’t particularly like, I welcome the opportunity to experience them and learn. For example, I have a new post starting tomorrow morning that explores a genre that most of my readers are probably not familiar with and might not like at first. However, I hope they approach the post as a chance to learn about something entirely new, maybe find value in it and perhaps even like it.

Enjoy the rest of your week, dear friend Cathy!

I don’t know if the problem was the performers as much as it was the song itself. Don’t know that many artists would have made it sound very listenable. Still, nice to see I voted in the pack.

Fortunately my outcome was a bit better balanced.
