Monday's Music Moves Me

AGT Unknown Talents

Do you like reality TV?  I do, especially those showing unknown talent like America’s Got Talent (AGT).  Today I’m hitting the dance floor with this week’s “Freebie” picks with these incredibly talented few unknowns.

Season 12 kicked off a few weeks ago and already there’s been some wonderful talent to walk across the stage but this 16-year old guy really surprised me. He has  a real soulfulness in his vocals that’s gonna thrill you to hear. Give it up for Christian Guardino covering the Jackson 5’s “Who’s Lovin’ You”.

Next up, This little darling is not only a cutie pie but a talented angel. She’s really going to be something when she grows up if she keeps it up. Here’s 9-year old Celine Tam performing, “My Heart Will Go On”!

All I can say is for my next artist pick, be prepared to be blown away;  you’re gonna be swept away by her story and amazed with her ability. I present to you Mandy Harvey performing an original “Try”!

Thank you for including me in your Monday, kittens & dawgs!  I invite you to hit the dance floor with the M4 (borrowed from John at The Sound of One Hand Typing) gang XmasDolly, Stacy, Colette , and little ole me! Now, I invite you to hit the dance floor.  The theme is “FREEBIE” week, which is your choice of mewsic.

Next week, you’re not gonna wanna miss joining the dance party. XmasDolly and the 4M gals have something special planned. So, be sure to boogie back over! I’m outta here for now. This is Curious as a Cathy signing off with a tune that’s been stuck my head ever since I heard it on AGT. Enjoy!

What mewsic moves you today?

    I like certain reality tv.
Like AGT and American Ninja Warrior and The Voice. etc. But not the weird trash ones.

I saw a few of these on AGT and I was just amazed. Especially Many Harvey. And that girl Evie with her father diagnose made me bawl so much.
    They are amazing.

Thanks for Sharing these special moments Cathy. Have a blessed week. *HUGS

      Colette,

I don’t like the strange reality shows, either. Like Survivor where they have to eat weird stuff. Gross! No, thank you!! You can’t pay me enough to do junk like that. 😀

  • Mandy

Some amazing talent you’ve shared in this post. All were good, but Christian was my favorite. He was so into that song!

  • Birgit

The deaf gal is amazing! They all are actually. I don’t watch this show but have been watching World of Dance which is pretty good. Some people have no bones in their bodies and I bet one kid must have what I have -Ehlers-Danlos, but I was never that bendy! Will you be joining our Thursday Movie Picks at all or is it too much??

    • Cathy Kennedy

      Birgit,

I will resume TMP at some point but right now I’m keeping my posts to Mondays. I may throw another one in every other week, though. I’m still working on doing some blog post cleaning up and just not feeling presssured to do anything in Blogosphere for now. This is really a good feeling, too. I take Ehlers-Danlos is that bendy disorder thingy, right? I never knew there was such a thing and always wondered why some people could do really weird stuff with their bodies. Thanks for popping in. I’ll be by to see you soon.

  • John Holton

I don’t watch the show. I know there are alented people on it, and I’m glad you shared some of them. Love how that first kid blew everyone away. All three were excellent. Good set!

    • Cathy Kennedy

      John,

I like that the singers who perform on AGT don’t sound like everybody else usually. Thanks for sharing the dance floor with me, my friend!

    • Cathy Kennedy

      Patrick,

No need to feel like an idiot. There are plenty of shows I don’t watch, either. We don’t watch it live, instead, we’ll stream the episodes the following afternoon while we have dinner keeping the show to our schedule and not the networks. I love that we can do this, too!

  • Alana

I’ve rarely watched AGT until this season. I’ve seen every episode and I’ve been blown away, especially by Celene, who has an unbelievable, powerful voice. I won’t be surprised if she wins the season!

    • Cathy Kennedy

      Alana,

I’m sorry for responding so late to your comment. I found it in my spam folder. Anywho, I think it’s amazing to see young talent like Celine’s but I question having kids under 10 competing in these sorts of shows. I’m concerned they can’t enjoy being a kid, you know? There’s always such sad stories to surface of child stars which breaks my heart and I just don’t want to see this happen to little Celine or any other small fry. She’s incredible, though.

Seems as if my tear ducts are leaking over here!! 🙂 I’ve got AGT queued, but haven’t had a chance to watch yet – thanks for these, I LOVE them!!!!! And that last one totally cracked me up! Now I’m jonesin’ to go get to binge watching the episodes. 🙂 Thanks for the dance, Cathy – have a great week! 🙂

      Stacy,

I enjoy the talent this year but I really hate that Nick Cannon isn’t the host anymore. Tara Banks is no match for Nick’s natural ability to connect with the audience. In fact, I think Tara is a bit annoying. Too bad AGT producers/executives didn’t ask my opinion because I would be told them to look for a better-suited host.

  • Mary B

I haven’t followed AGT in recent years, but for some reason, I’ve been keeping an eye on the show this season. There has been some great talent so far this year!

      Mary,

I’m sure at some point, we’ll stop watching AGT. It’s rare that we watch the entire season because it’ll get to where America starts voting off the best talents and then the show just isn’t fun anymore.

  • XmasDolly

Fantastic! I love AGT… that little Celine was just too cute & her voice blew me away & especially when I heard her sister’s name was Dion. lol Loved the fellow that did all the cartoons, but they did have someone like that on the show before so he’s not an original. Did you see Puddles… oh my, what a voice he had, huh? I must say the talent just keeps getting better and better over the years. Thanks for sharing. Fantastic… now I want to see more!!! lol ROCK ON GIRLFRIEND!

    • Cathy Kennedy

      Marie,

Yeah, Celine is a cutie pie and her parents naming her little sister Dion is cool. I wonder if singer, Celine Dion, saw the show? It would be neat if she did and reached out to the little Miss Celine, wouldn’t it? No, I missed seeing Puddles on the show but I did check it out on YouTube and I’m glad you told me about him. What a surprising, amazing talent! 🙂

  • greyzoned/angelsbark

Wow, wow, wow!!! This is some serious talent here Cathy! I was blown away by all of them really. But I think I was most wow’d by Christian Guardino. Amazing voice there!
I really enjoyed your M4 post! I’ll have to get back into watching America’s Got Talent!
    Have an awesome week.

    • Cathy Kennedy

Michele, So glad you danced along with me this week to my AGT Unknown Talents! 🙂 If you missed Marie’s comment, she told me about Puddles. Check it out…

      • greyzoned/angelsbark

Wow, what a voice he has! Amazing. But I gotta tell ya, the clown thing really freaks me out…. Yikes, Hate clowns! 🙂

        • Cathy Kennedy

          Michele,

I always thought clowns were just silly looking and never thought of them as creepy but over the years learning how other people feel about them caused me to evaluate why this is and I now understand how scary a clown might be to some people. They have less appeal these days compared to yesteryears.
