A Christmas Tree in the Window #WW & #Hodgepodge Q&A

Welcome Kittens & Dawgs! This is the last week in December and Christmas is now in our past. Let’s take one peak with A Christmas Tree in the Window snapped in Gatlinburg but never shared because of poor exposure and no photo editing playtime. I’m thankful to have Pixelmator to help correct my photography goofs.

[tweetthis]I linked up with Curious as a Cathy for some not-so #WW fun & I invite you join the party! #photography[/tweetthis]

Next up is ususally my Wednesday Hodgepodge segment hosted by Joyce but she’s taking me the week off. This is an excellent way to get to know your fellow blogger so I invite you to play alone next week.

For the rest of the year, I’m taking life in Blogosphere easy limiting post contributions. If you don’t wanna miss a post then I encourage you to subscribe to my email service to get notification of the latest mews on Curious as a Cathy! Have a good day! X💋X💋, Cathy

Well, I’m going to have a very long Christmas this year because my Missy isn’t coming in until Jan. 13th & I promised to leave up the tree. I’m paying bills & then wrapping presents today until every last one is wrapped & believe you me I have tons. I’m drafting Dave to help too! hehehehe~ Love your pic with the tree in the window, and your tenors are awesome for sure. You always lift my spirits young lady… keep doin’ what you’re doin! Love you for it! BIG HUGS & HAPPY NEW YEAR!

      Marie,

Oh, what fun at your house! I bet you have snow, too. 🙂 It doesn’t matter when you celebrate just as long as you can do it with the family. I hope you have hap-hap-happy Christmas and a blessed, wonderful new year, my lovely friend! XOXO

      Ellen,

Hey no worries! I’m glad you joined the mid-week photo fun. Like I was telling Annie, I’m sorta taking a break. It makes life easy when I do posts in advance especially during the holidays and I have my mind preoccupied with other things but there’s still the challenge of keeping up with those who visit. Luckily, I know all of my bloggy friends pretty well and most are like me, so I know all is good. Have a good week and I’ll see ya soon!

      Annie,

Well…I’m sorta taking a break. I try to respond to comments and do revisits as I notice them showing up on my site, otherwise, I’m busy doing holiday stuff. This weekend DH will have an extra day off so that’ll be nice. Hooray!! I totally get you with your priorities concerning your hubby. I’m just like you! Have a good week and a blessed new year, my friend!

Good grief, Birgit! I have no reason to complain, even though I do complain and it is cold here this morning at 18ºF but…it’s not as bad as what you had yesterday. I had to ask Google to convert Celsius to Fahrenheit. Whew, doggie I shiver just thinking about the temps being in the single digits. Brrr! I keep an eye on the weather in Brunswick Maine since DD#2 lives there now and I’m always like, “No thank you, that’s too cold for me!” I don’t think I’d be a happy girl living up north. I’m already ready for spring, aren’t you? lol

    Hi, Cathy!

I clicked to enlarge the Christmas tree in the window so that I could admire it from top to bottom. It fills me with the spirit all over again.

When I saw the pin-up at the end of the post I was reminded of something I learned when I studied pin-up genre artists and illustrators a few years ago. The young women subjects are often depicted balancing precariously on ladders. I once had quite a collection of giclee art prints and several of the compositions by Elvgren and other pin-up artists showed women posed on ladders.

Cathy, thank you very much for sticking with me through 2017. A few weeks from now I will be taking a month off to move. When I return to full time blogging I look forward to another year with you – a year of genuine friendship, teaching and learning, sharing and caring.

Happy new year to you and your family, dear friend Cathy!

      Tom,

How interesting, you actually took a class on pin-up genre artists & illustrators. I’d love to draw pin-up girls. They capture the imagination of a more innocent time, which is really sweet and nice. Ahh, you’re such a dear! I’m glad that we’re friends and I look forward to another year of friendship. Have fun getting moved and settled into your new place. Hopefully, 2018 will be a better year for each of us and happy new year to you & Mrs. Shady, too!
