Alphabe-Thursday

Ziggy

At the end of another round of alphabet lessons. My how the time zinged by! There will be no breaks this time, as we’ll zip straight to the start beginning next week. But, for now, why not zoom over to Miss Jenny’s to visit the Alphabe-Thursday classroom for more ‘Z’ assignments!

Follow me to Miss Amanda’s for Thursday Two Questions. This week, I’m asking these questions.

1. When was the last time you went the wrong way to get to the right place – emotional or physical?

2. Would you say, you are where you are today by your own free will or do you consider yourself forced to be where you are for whatever reason?

*None of these cartoons belong to me. That being said, I linked the website where these illustrations can be found.”

I’ve made some wrong decisions in life but in the long run those decisions brought me to where I wanted to be. So were they wrong after all?

All decisions are either my own or shared with someone else after discussion. I don’t deal well with being forced, it just doesn’t happen.

    I love zippy little Ziggy.

He always makes me feel more confident about the size of my nose!

I tend to end up at destinations by way of tangents…but I always do the journey with my own free will.

This was a really thought (and smile) provoking link!

    Thanks for sharing it.

    A+

    Hi again!

Visiting from Mrs Matlock’s, many thanks for stopping by.

    Great post – so apt.

    Have a great weekend too!

aah. Ziggy! My son really liked him when he was young, so I crossed stitched a Ziggy picture with the words, “Let the good times roll.”

You have caused me to think somewhat philosophically. Am I where I am of my own free will. Yes, I would say, till I stop to think. I realize there are many things in my life over which I’ve had no choice, and these things have helped shape me.

I like your cartoons, Cathy. Ziggy knlows a lot but he sure does act stupid.

    Two Questions:
    1. I hardly ever know which is the right way. Most times I end up in a good place, it might be the wrong one though. At my age and being retired it all doesn’t matter too much.

    2. Really good, maybe tough, question. Most all of my achievements were reached by taking the ‘open door.’
I do believe in having a Plan B and between that and following my nose for open doors I got to the end.
Guess the last door will open soon, if it says Heaven I have prepared for that one.

I’m thinking about doing Jenny’s Alphabet but first I need to finish up some loose ends around here. I like her Centus Saturday and do that whenever I feel that I can answer comments.

I love Ziggy! What fun! After a long tiring work day I like this easy fun and relaxing time. Have a terrific weekend and please stop by for a visit.

  • Emille

I’m asking Ziggy’s answering machine to make a decision for me! It says I don’t have to answer the two questions!!!

  • anitamombanita

I used to read Ziggy regularly. As for your questions…make a wrong turn? Never! Of course not! heehee But if I did, I’m sure it was by my own choosing. 🙂

Zeesh! Ziggy can be pretty deep♫♪
Nice post. I’m sure I took short cuts that were ‘wrong’ to get to the right place, but I’ve forgotten about them (been forgiven)…and my free will is working great, especially when I ask for guidance from the Holy Spirit.

When I was younger, I went wherever other people thought I should. One of the great things about being older for me has been having the courage and freedom to take charge of my own destiny!

    Great post…

    I love the illustrations!

    1. I’ve done that quite a few times. Many times I could have saved myself the headache and just come out and say what I need or what’s bothering me, whether the other person cares or not.

    2. At this point I do believe in free will, but what happens when will is like a bondage that you choose to listen to…by being where you are today?

Maybe. it makes for strong arguments, but it is free will. We always have this choice.

    Happy Thursday to you!

  • Sue

Thanks for reminding me of Ziggy. I had kind of forgotten all about him.

And I feel like I’m exactly where I want to be. i don’t take well to force.

    😉

I can say that I am happy where I am today in whatever ways that it got me here. It took a long time, but in the end it’s worth it!

I had to laugh at your questions today Cathy. Are you feeling a bit forced in some ways? Just teasing. I laughed because it sounded like the pathetic song that I cried for myself now and then. As I am getting older though- I try to see what is here and now, and what I would do without the responsiblities I have, or the people in my life.
I was about 19 – had a client /friend that was 2 1/2 times older with beauty, grace and intelligence. She had it all, a successful husband, etc., yet he had the on going affair. They were room-mates. So I asked “why are you still with him?” She said: “Everytime I wanted to leave, I think about what my life, or kids life would be without him, and I decided our lives are better with him.”
Sounds like a simple answer right? It was at 19, but today, I see that it could be very complicated and very meaningful. I see that the answer could be applied to anything in life, jobs, clubs, hobbies, and even relationships. And it isn’t as easy to make a decission just for your own benefit.

I haven’t seen ziggy in forever… Love it! Brought back memories – my dad (for some unknown reason) used to call my mom iggy so ziggy was always a favorite in my house growing up…

  • Judie

I like the last one the best. My will is definitely free. Whether or not it is right or reasonable is yet to be determined! GREAT POST!!!
