You’re the Biggest Part of Me #happyanniversary

Today I celebrate our 36th wedding anniversary, I dedicate today’s post to you, my DH because you’re the Biggest Part of Me

I can’t think about our special day without a flood of memories. One particular memory is, and it embarrassed me to death at the time, the funny sign my BILs hung in the rear window of our getaway car. Now, it just makes me smile.

GetAwayCar copy
It reads: CAUTION the driver of this vehicle does not stop for railroad crossings, dogs, cats, children, buses, trains, or trucks, only motels.

Happy Anniversary most excellent husband!

Les @ Time Out For Mom is taking a summer break from Tuesday Coffee Chat, but you’re welcome tag along with me. I’m gonna hop over to her place to see what I’ve missed (I’m always behind) and then I’ll wrap things at Stacy’s place for Random Tuesday Thoughts.

Before I go, let me give you a laugh.

    Still here!!! LOL
But you are not totally wrong — I do take a break once the kids are out of school — so July and August will be summer breaks from the Chat. My time then is definitely limited, and we often are just out of the house too much.

Happy Anniversay – the sign is hilarious. but I would have been blushing too. LOL
my kids were laughing hysterically at that cat photo and are running around now chanting “no fat rat, no fat rat”
    oh my goodness. dying. 🙂

Les, alright I knew you were planning to take a break in your TCC and I just got the timing wrong. I didn’t realize Canadian school kids go so long into the year, though. Our schools dismissed the week before Memorial Day weekend (at the end of May), but they go back close to the end of August. Yeah, the sign in our getaway car is great fun, but to a then 17-year old I turned every shade of red possible. I was like I can’t believe they did this at a church wedding. I can only imagine what DH’s parents must have thought. It had to be more embarrassing for them than it was for me. lol I’m glad the kiddos got a chuckle out of the cat diet humor. 😀

Lee, thanks! You know, I don’t know if I’ve ever had Ambrosia salad. Scratch that, I think I have a very long time ago. I am not a huge fan of it, but I can eat it.
