The Angels Knew #music & #BOTB results

It’s Christmas time, kittens & dawgs! For the entire month of December XmasDolly, and her elves…JAmericanSpice, Stacy Uncorked, Everyday Life, & little ole me are having a jingling good time spreading the cheer with non-stop Christmas music.

I decided to go with a theme within a theme this Christmas season. Last week, we listened to O Little Town of Bethlehem. Incidentally, it should be no surprise to announce Sarah McLachlan won the that #BOTB installment. Oops lost my thought process there for a second. We know about Bethlehem, how about the heavenly host? Did you know before man was aware of the good news that The Angels Knew long ago the story that would come to pass on that cold December night? Listen…

Do you hear what I hear?

Angels on high …

Proclaimed the blessed event to the world…

The Bible speaks of these entities being protectors and messengers. My most vivid experience with a close encounter of the angelic kind happened many years ago. I think I told this story before, but for you new comers I’ll share it again. One Sunday morning on our way to church, I headed out the door and down our porch steps. I don’t know how it happened. It was all so fast, but the heel of my shoe became tangled in the hem of my dress at the precise moment I started my descent. In a split second, I teetered on my left stiletto envisioning broken bones or worse and yet at that instance my heel was freed and I was able to restore my balance before my foot landed on the next step. Shaken, but otherwise relieved gratitude filled my heart and humbly I thanked God for giving charge to His angels in keeping me from harm.

Do you think of you believe in angels? When was the last time your angel protected you?

Thanks for visiting. I hope you enjoyed my music selections. I’ll be by your place soon. Meanwhile, why not dance with these lovelies…

Have a joyful Christmas season and may you be blessed! What Christmas music is moving you?

The angels knew is new to me and such a beautiful song! I have to add it to my play list!

Yes I do believe there are angels. The bible speaks clearly of them. The kids and I were just talking about them today and yesterday 🙂

I’m so glad you are protected also Cathy!

Thanks for sharing and have a joyful week!

Boy, am I EVER glad that I’m protected by angels! Last year when I was so sick, I believe God used His messengers to whisper in my ear to go to the doctor pronto. That’s the only reason I’m here today, I think. Angels are amongst us ~ some seen and others not. 😉

I am fairly certain I have worked my guardian angel some serious overtime!!! Seriously, I probably shouldn’t even be here — and I am immensely grateful that I am!

I’m experimenting with WP. I wanted to bring Christmas to my blog or at least give it a Christmasy feel. The Piano Guys are amazing. I downloaded their Christmas CD A Family Christmas last year and just love it!

My dear friend, thank you very much. Yes, I hate being sick, and I’m glad that’s over with. Hopefully I had my turn for the winter. These songs are new to me by these artists, but they’re all so very talented. Thanks for sharing, and most of all thanks for being one of my elves as you put it, but we’re all elves for the Big Man! Praise the Lord. And yes, I do believe in Angels. I have a few guardian angels, but I have one that’s more active than the others. My guardian Angel is my daughter. She passed in 1977 and ever since then I receive moments that tell me to do things that I don’t normally do or wouldn’t do and I trust those moments. One specific time was when I was driving and I felt a tap on my right check which made me turn my head suddenly and I saw a car going through a stop sign and I stopped suddenly or for sure I would have been slammed into. Bless my Angel. Her name was Angelina we called her “Angel” so you see there are such things as Angels. Oh one other specific time I was asleep and woke up with a grim reaper I think you call them standing next to my bed and I jumped over my husband and stood up and I felt a warm breeze on my cheek and the smell of baby powder in the air and whispers of not time now praise God… and I sat up from my bed eyes wide open and the smell of baby powder in the air. Swear to God true story… okay I know you think I’m nuts now. sorry! Have a wonderful day! HUGS! Hark the herald angels sing is my favorite song! I’m so happy when they pick that song at church for the final song.

You crazy? Nah, absolutely not, Marie! I believe your little Angelina is your angel. I think these stories are amazing and really loved reading about your experience. I think we have had moments such as this. It’s just a matter of us opening our hearts to the realization of this mysterious truth that God works through these invisible (sometimes seen) helpers. Thanks for sharing!

I love Christmas songs. I started listening to them before Thanksgiving. They just are feel good songs. My husband sort of rolls his eyes at me when I listen to them. I can’t help it. I just love them.
