Tuesday Laughter in the Rain

rainydaygiphy
Good morning, what a blessed Tuesday morning it is!  Last night the storms pushed through our area.  Thankfully without any incidents of weather gone wild. The rain and wind are still lingering and may be with us the better part of the early hours, but we certainly can use it.  DH bought some gorgeous plants for me over the weekend and this heaven-sent love was just perfect for my new flowers.

Thinking about the weekend, I remembered how my DH not only bought me some lovely potted plants but several rubber stamps from Hobby Lobby.  I love, love rubber stamping!  This is one of my favorite creative outlets. I truly enjoy making greeting cards for family.  What are some of your favorite artsy pastimes?

My DH and I had the chance to spend Saturday morning together – just the two of us, while our DS took his ACT.  It was like a date.  We don’t have many occasions like this.  They are rare, like once in a blue moon.  We soaked up the fond moments walking hand in hand as we looked at things which interested me.  I wasn’t being selfish here, ladies.  This is what my DH wanted to do. He wanted to do what made me the happiest.  Isn’t that the sweetest?

The truth is he’s like this all the time.  In fact, anytime we are running errands he opts to take me to my favorite places to do whatever I want.  I just think it’s darling!  Do you remember late last summer when we had some together time? Check out Monday Preview of My Reviews of Our Weekend Spent

What plans do you have in store for today?  I have several to-dos on my list such as:

  • Clean out the refrigerator. Who knows what lurking in containers that got pushed to the back and forgotten about for weeks!
  • Take care of the laundry. Have you noticed how it multiplies like rabbits overnight?
  • Look for missing exercise DVDs. How anything goes AWOL in this small house is beyond my comprehension and it drives me the wall!
  • Edit children’s story (WIP). It’s time to get that old story off the back burner and do re-writes.
  • Mend clothes. I need to repair DH’s office slacks. I’ve procrastinated long enough.  Why is it I hate to stitch one tiny button onto a pair of pants?

Do you like reading the morning headlines?  Usually, there is nothing other than depressing articles in the news.  However, this one caught my attention…

St. Francis man finds live missile in bathroom wall  By JOHN RONDY

Then, I decided to Google for bazaar  news headlines just for the fun of it and here are a few I uncovered.

GA Woman Cleans Purse, Finds Winning Ticket

Neb. Man Accused of Using Vacuum to Steal Coins

The second headline makes me think of Home Alone II where Marv and Harry are in NYC.  Marv calls himself the ‘Sticky Bandit’.  Do you remember that? Hilarious, right?

Did any of you watch DWTS last night?  All of the contestants are good this season.  I believe Kendra may get the boot after last night’s performance.  My mind is rambling this morning.  With that being said and without further ado, who’s up for the Tuesday blog hops?  I am, I am!  Come on, follow me to…

Feel free to share your Tuesday blog hops with me.  I’m always interested in learning about the memes others join in on.

Did you know that the English do not celebrate Mother’s Day at the same time as Americans? Their Mother’s Day celebration is called Mothering Sunday, and it is held on the fourth Sunday of Lent, NOT on the first Sunday of May.
