Another week bites the dust and it happens to be DH’s off Friday. I can’t get too much together time with my favorite fella.
There’s nothing like starting the day off with some giggles unless you’re talking about mewsic and that’s a different story. I continue to rock with Mary from Jingle Jangle Jungle with her Rocktober Music Fest and I have a new mewsic discovery I’m itching to share with you!
Today’s mewsic feature is an all-female horn band that drew the comparison to Chicago, Blood, Sweat, and Tears, Earth, Wind, & Fire, and Santana. They built a strong fan base in the NYC club circuit and opened for some big rock acts in the 70s but unfortunately failed to achieve the commercial success needed to keep the band united. What a shame! Anywho, join me this mornig for a listen to the bands 1974 self-titled album, Isis!
Isis album song titles in track order: Waiting for the Sonrise, Everybody Needs a Forever, Servant Saviour, Rubber boy, April fool, Bitter sweet, Do the Football, She Loves Me, & Cocaine Elaine.
I borrowed the above playlist from the Henry Henryk YT channel. I do not know how accurate the song titles as I lifted them straight from the info provided below the vid. If you enjoyed their mewsic then you’ll be interested to know this YTer also uploaded Isis’s other two albums to his video library Ain’t No Backin’ Up Now (1975) and Breaking Through (1977).
I hope you’ll travel with me back in time tomorrow with another edition of Rocktober Mewsic Festival!
