This week on the Monday’s Music Moves Me dance floor we are boogieing to whatever music moves you with our special co-hostess, Sandee from Comedy Plus. Are you ready to get this party going?
On the weekends, we enjoy unwinding in front of the boob tube. That’s funny to say since they no longer use tubes in modern high definition televisions but anyway, we like binging our favorite TV shows. Over the summer, we began watching Pretty Little Liars original series. The artists singing the opening theme, Secret, piqued my curiosity.
The Pierces is a LA based band with sisters Allison and Catherine. Their style is a reflection of the type of music that played a big part in their upbringing from the 60s and 70s. I can’t believe I haven’t heard of these gals before now. They have beautiful voices and genuine talent. I borrowed from The Pierces’ YT the playlist of songs from one of their first albums, You & I.
Days later after listening to this album in its entirety DH spotted it on sale at iTunes. He commented on it being their best album which I totally agree with and he asked me if I wanted to buy it. Naturally, I said yes.
Here’s something interesting I totally forgot. While in Bar Harbor, our New England daughter DD#2 reminded me when she worked in downtown Knoxville, Lucy Hale’s (Aria from Pretty Little Liars) real sister worked with her who was a student at UT. I remembered as soon as she told me but I didn’t pay it any mind at the time because we were into the series. Just a little something fun to throw at you.
This is a music linky party. Your co-hostess are Stacy, Alana, and Me. Every other week we have a suggested music theme (see weekly prompts here) to build your song set around and all participants share YouTube or Vimeo videos for our music enthusiasts. Failure to meet this basic guideline puts your URL in danger of being removed or labeled – NO MUSIC.
This is going to be a busy, full week with Thanksgiving on Thursday. Try to not stress and enjoy the holiday with a heart filled with gratitude for all things in your life. Sometimes it easy to overlook the blessing we’re given daily. Have a wonderful week. This is CAAC signing off, have a boogietastic week! X💋X💋, Cathy
