Recess break is over and school is back is session for most, if not all kids now. Why even Chicago has gotten back into the swing of things. But, not for me. Now, that DS has graduated and attending college, I’ve undertaken the very big job of doing a major clean up. In doing so, I found some materials no longer needed. Like this….
UPDATE: SOFTWARE NO LONGER AVAILABLE.
A couple of years ago in our home school, DS, decided he wanted to learn the Russian language. Against my better judgement, I agreed. Learning a foreign language of any kind is tricky in my opinion, but from my limited experience I figured Russian would be more difficult.
DS learned a few words and phrases, but didn’t really warm up to it. This left me nearly $200 out-of-pocket with little fruit in return. The good news is someone will be able to benefit from my purchase because I want to unload this software.
What’s in box:
- The Interactive Software
- Parent’s Guide
- Supplemental Material (CD)
- Audio Companion: CDs for practice on the go
- Headset with microphone for speech recognition
- User’s Guide
Right along side the Rosetta Stone, I found another foreign language software course which is doing no good collecting dust on my bookshelf, which I want to sell.
UPDATE: SOFTWARE NO LONGER AVAILABLE.
I also have these core subjects in software format: English, Math, Science, History, and Bible from the publisher Alpha-Omega.
- Switched-On Schoolhouse grade 11
- Switched-On Schoolhouse grade 12
A word of caution: The Switched-On Schoolhouse has a few software glitches which were not properly ironed out before reaching the consumer’s hand. However, this did not keep my children from using it. You will need to spot check work to make sure questions are properly assigned. On t he positive side, this is a great resource for independent students work study and offers Mom a bit of a break.
UPDATE: SOFTWARE NO LONGER AVAILABLE.
If you buy one of the above software curriculum and would like some extra math for your child, then I have the stand-alone Alpha-Omega Switched-On Schoolhouse 2.0R Consumer Math program for grades 9-12 which I will sell for only $5 + shipping (Condition: Good. No box. Includes: CD and instructions)
UPDATE: SOFTWARE NO LONGER AVAILABLE.
All sells are on a first come, first serve basis. No returns accepted. If you’re interested, then please send your request to me. I will place the software on hold and issue you a PayPal invoice for payment of sale.

Every time I hear this song…
I think of Rush Limbaugh. Why? In 1995 after the song released, Limbaugh joked about Paula singing to him.
1. Do you love or hate Rush Limbaugh? You probably have guessed, I am a Limbaugh fan. I think he’s hilariously entertaining and generally have both sides pegged pretty well.
2. How do you feel about political Talk Radio Hosts in general? I love the passion and dedication of most conservative Talk Show speakers. On the occasion I am able to listen, it serves to remind me of the principles that built this country strong. Not that I ever forgot or anything, but it stokes my patriotic spirit every time. God bless America!
BONUS: Do you have any political funnies (jokes, cartoons, videos,…)to share? Please leave me a link!
