Good morning, Kittens and Dawgs! This week’s theme is “unconventional duets” song picks. Although many of the 4M members are still recovering after surgical procedures, I invite you to join the party with my fellow co-hosts: XmasDolly (Party Coordinator), Stacy, Alana, & Colette. This month’s honorary co-host is our very own, Stacy! Now it’s time to hit the dance floor (ONLY link mewsic posts) below.

What tunes are spinnin’ on the turntable?
I vividly remember when Paul McCartney & Michael Jackson paired up in the post-disco song Say, Say, Say (1983). I don’t know why it struck me odd but it did. Perhaps it was Paul was more of classic rock fellow and Michael was more of a pop-dance kinda of an artist. To my surprise, the song was pAwesomely good making it Jackson’s 7th top-ten song within a year. I don’t know if I had any thoughts one way or another when Al Green & Anne Lennox recorded their #2 1988 hit Put A Little Love In Your Heart. Man, I had forgotten Georgy Porgy is late 70s Toto hit featuring Cheryl Lynn. The song did very well across three charts – Billboard Hot 100 (#48), R&B (#18), & Dance(#80). I loved Sheena Easton’s 80s pop tunes. I had no clue that she and Prince joined forces in the 1987 US Billboard Hot 100 #2 hit, You Got The Look. Wikipedia says that Sheena wasn’t credited on the single release so maybe this is why I didn’t know. Winding up today’s unlikely dueting artists I found another Michael Jackson pair up. This time with bubblegum pop artist Britney Spears at the peak of her career performing live The Way You Make Me Feel. One commenter wondered how live Spears singing is on stage. What do you think, is she lipsynching? I couldn’t really tell.
I need to excuse myself from Blogosphere today. DH has some doctor appointments but I will boogie with you first thing tomorrow morning. Keep those tunes playing, your body swaying, and I’ll be boogieing over to see you soon.
Did you vote in my November 1st BoTB? If not, then I’d like you to cast your vote for your favorite artist in the showdown between the King and the Queen of the Road. Don’t forget to bring your coffee cup with you tomorrow for another edition of Cathy Chats.
