Welcome, Kittens & Dawgs! During the winter months, I generally prefer to stay indoors unless it’s a lovely sunny day. There haven’t been too many of these opportunities since the holidays for venturing outdoors. I hope in the coming weeks that this changes as DH’s new work schedule will allow us to have every other Friday together.
Luckily, I have lots and lots of archived photos to flip through. Many I’ve shared and then there are some that didn’t make the cut but have a potential for expressing my creative side through photo-editing. This is what I’ve done today breathing new life in an ordinary photo with a short poem I penned for the occasion called Winter’s Day Spent Dreamin‘.
I snapped this photo in late winter 2011 with my Canon SD880 point n’ shoot on one of our day trips to the Blue Ridge Parkway roughly around the Graveyard Fields. It was a gray, cloudy day which I enhanced with Pixelmator by converting it to a B&W image, bumping the contrast, and adding a bit of grain.
Let’s snuggle up with a piping hot beverage while we visit other photo enthusiasts today.
Come back for another peek through my lens with my newest edition of Now on Thursday Skywatch Friday & CTST!
