Meet Kim of HelKima Jewelry!

Today’s post was going to be a more in-depth article, but currently, Kim is in Argentina riding out Hurricane Sandy. But, I’m not going to be outdone by a super storm. So, I want to give you a brief introduction of sorts. Here goes….

Kim and I go way back to our youthful days in the hills of West Virginia. Isn’t she a lovely lady?  It’s clear with Kim’s beautiful smile things have changed little from our school years with that winning, outgoing personality that all the rest of us wanted.

Like many classmates do, Kim and I lost touch. A few years ago, just as I was beginning to take flight with all the social networking, she & I were re-acquainted.  God bless Mark Zuckerberg’s innovation for pulling off such a tremendous platform such as Facebook.

One day, while scrolling through my Facebook feed I was surprised to discover something interesting about Kim with one of her comments.  Naturally, I was enthralled to learn more, so I began reading. That’s when I found out my friend is a crafty little thing.

I’m not talking about the nickel and dime crafting, either. You know what I’m talking about, the stuff your Aunt Mabel makes for you at Christmas and you’re obligated to say, “Oh, how nice this is!” But, what you’re really thinking is, “Where do I hide it?” or “This is going in the trash!”

Kim’s crafting…well, let’s just say I found out she’s a bona fide jewelry designer. Move over Martha Stewart!  I do not wear much jewelry and my collection is modest at best. However, being the woman I am, I do like anything girlie. I admire stunning works of art in the form of female ornamentation – earrings, necklaces, or bracelets. One thing I like about HelKima Jewelry designs is it’s classy. Take a look….

Watch in the coming days for my interview with Kim. I know you’re gonna wanna get to know her and to learn about her jewelry crafting passion. Meanwhile, if you’re sold on her work already and no doubt you are, then you can get a price quote on your own one-of-a-kind design by HelKima Jewelry by sending your request to her on FB (see under “About” tab) for a personal design piece or you may leave your email in my comments along with your request. I’ll be sure she gets each one.

Hurricane Sandy has really caused more than a stir this week. This brings me to my T2Q:

1. Were you directly affected by the super storm? If so, how?

2. Have you ever been affected by a natural disaster?

Have a super Thursday!
