I'm not messin' with your head

I’m not messin’ with your head. To make up for no Friday Sillies I decided to share some giggles and mewsings from our weekend today.

Other than binge watching Fear the Walking Dead, I made some home-made treats. On Thursday, I took a stab at making a couple of loaves of French bread.  It didn’t turn out bad for my first attempt but I need to ask a good blogger friend who’s into baking how to improve and what I did wrong. I did snap a picture.

The bread had a good flavor but it was a little dry and more dense than what you’d buy from the grocery store.  As I said the taste was good, so I did a change up turning my French bread into garlic bread served with some marina sauce that I made. The sauce is a work-in-progress and I failed to take pictures of these two paired together. It made for a delicious snack while watching TV.

This reminds me of the time DS was little. He was beginning to count. He decided to demonstrate his learning in the presence of others as he counted my breast. Thankfully, he only counted two.

During the holidays I wanted to make some home-made marshmallows but ran short on time. The cold weather that moved in on us over the weekend was a signal that I needed to prepare for conditions that’s purrfect for hot chocolate, so I made a batch of my marshmallows.

We wrapped our weekend up by watching the last of the play-off games. The first game was between two of our favorites this season, the Tennessee Titans and the Kansas City Chiefs. Naturally, we rooted for the Titans. By now, you may know that the Chiefs won the AFC division championship. That’ okay because the one thing we love about both teams is the quarterbacks’ and other team members Christian faith. The second game  paired the Packer and 49ers to go head-to-head in the NFC division match up.  I knew who I was going to cheer on in this one and as I watched the camera pan across the players, I noticed many of the Packers did not cover their heart during the National Anthem. How disappointing. I rallied behind the 49ers with a great enthusiasm with the hopes they’d win and it was San Francisco’s game with a 37 to 20 victory in the end.

Congratulations to the Chiefs and 49ers for winning their division championship, next stop the granddaddy of all football games, Super Bowl LIV!

Now let’s get back to some giggles. Have you seen the Head and Shoulders TV ad with Patrick Mahomes and former Pittsburgh Steelers  Troy Polamalu? Generally I ignore commercials but one Sunday recently while watching football this one aired getting my attention and it cracked me up!

I should’ve known a cat was responsible.

It’s time to grab a cup of coffee and follow along with me as I head off to visit Sandee for some Happy Tuesdays giggles at Comedy-Plus, then I’ll check out Random Tuesday Thoughts with Stacy Uncorked, and finishing up with the latest beans in the Tuesday Chatter community with Eugenia at BrewNSpew.

Allow me if I might be so humble to showcase a new poem I penned using Eugenia’s last week’s prompt, laughter.  Yep, I’m a little late but you know what they say about that now, don’t you? 🙂

No doubt the artwork looks familiar to some. I reinvented my  2017 pencil sketch using Procreate to add color along with my Laughter poem.

That’s a wrap for now but come back tomorrow for Wild Wednesdays where just about anything goes! 😉
