Welcome to Monday’s Mewsic Moves Me on Sunday!
This week’s theme is “Musical Acrostics!” In honor of the birthday of Charles E. Hires (1851-1937), the first commercial brewer of Root Beer (George Jones).
But, wait there’s more and here’s where the fun begins. John wants us to build a playlist in which the first letters of the songs spell out “ROOT BEER. Are you ready to dance? Hit play and chair boogie with me!
My Rootbeer playlist includes these song titles in track order: Roundabout (Yes), Oye Como Va (Santana), Over The Hills (Led Zeppelin), Tears In Heaven (Eric Clapton), Bad To The Bone (George Thorogood), Every Breath You Take (The Police), Eye Of The Tiger (Survivor), & Runnin’ Down A Dream (Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers)
That was a lot of fun. Initially, I misread acrostic as acoustic, so I looked for these sorts of songs to build my playlist. Luckily, that didn’t matter because regardless of what kind of mewsic you go with as long as you spell out root beer then you have an acrostic. Yeah, I didn’t know that, so John taught this kitten something new. 🙂
Please read…this is a mewsic linky party, which means all participates are sharing songs that one can listen to from YouTube or Vimeo and a not a post about mewsic or mewsicians. Failure to meet this basic guideline puts your URL in danger of being removed or labeled – NO MUSIC.
On behalf of the 4M crew, we’re happy to have you join our party today.
