The group leader, Tom Scholz, inspired by 1967 song Walk Away Renee wrote Boston’s first single in his basement studio while working at Polaroid before its release five years later that was a near instant hit. This one song launched Boston’s career into orbit.
Now to get this showdown under way and just so you’ll know, Boston is NOT included in the vote.
The first contender originally formed in Germany by producer Frank Farian. The group is made of a male trio: Marty Cintron and twin brothers, Ariel and Gabriel Hernández. This group is listed in the POP, Eurodance, and Pop dance genre. Give a listen to No Mercy.
The next group featured is a pop punk band from Ohio made of four person: Omar Zehery, Nick Thompson, Nate Van Dame, Kevin Mahoney, and David Bermosk called Hit The Lights.
I need to do a second or third playback of each of these bands before I know whose getting my vote. Do you know which band you like the best? Is it No Mercy or Hit The Lights?
I’m not using the polling widget this time because last time it didn’t match the real count given in comments. sigh So, please tell me in comments who gets your vote and if you wanna you can share the particulars of why your pick got named.

This month, I’m pitching in temporarily as co-host of Monday’s Music Moves Me (4M). One of the XmasDolly’s regulars is on vacation and asked if I can fill in. With summer blog traffic being slow and my hands full with repairing broken links/video and other fixes on my site, then I’m combing similar posts. I will share the results of this battle on Monday, July 25th. Be sure to mark your calendar and stop by to see who is named the WiNnEr!
[tweetthis]Who gets your #vote No Mercy or Hit The Lights singing Boston’s More Than A Feeling? It’s up to you who wins! #BoTB[/tweetthis]
It’s time to dance with the 4M crew! I just got the word from XmasDolly this week’s theme is going to be another freebie pick. Sounds like my BoTB song selection is a perfect fit. So, I’m gonna keep with Boston Greatest Hits! Feel to continue listening to all tracks while you do your house chores, surf the net, or write today’s blog post. Oh yeah, if you feel like chair boogieing or getting to your feet then let the music move you, baby!
You’re invited to link your music post below and if you’re new to Monday’s Music Moves Me, then don’t forget to add the 4M button to you site and link back to XmasDolly’s site. Let’s get the party on the road!
This is a longer than usual post, but I’m squeezing things in with the hopes of finding a good balance once I get my repairs done on my site. I wanted to join in the NEW Friendly Fill-ins ever since I noticed McGuffy’s Reader kicked it off after Hilary discontinued her Friday Fill-ins.
The Friendly Fill-Ins are four fun and easy statements to complete. Ellen of 15andmeowing provides the first two statements and the final two are offered by myself. We try to make sure they will be interesting to both answer and share. On Friday, the linky will be posted at or about 12:00 AM. Please come back, link up, and share your thoughts!
Week 10: July 15, 2016 Fill-ins:
- I prefer cake, pie, and cookies to candy; however, I wouldn’t turn it down.
-
Concentrating on learning something new recently was much harder than I expected. (Motherhood fried my brain, but I think it’s slowly reconnecting.)
-
One way that I relax is watch TV.
-
My DH always makes me smile.
Don’t forget to leave your vote in comments. This is Curious as a Cathy signing off with have a bandtastic day and a list of my Celebrate the Small Things with host, Lexa Cain for this week.
